D'oh! Cruz Campaign Concedes He Had Insurance Coverage All Along

In a reversal from claims made on the campaign trail, Ted Cruz's presidential campaign is now saying the senator and his family do have health insurance and never lost coverage. The late night Friday revelation came more than 24 hours after Cruz had told a New Hampshire audience that he and his family were without health insurance and were scrambling to obtain new coverage--and used the claim to slam Obamacare for the mess he was in.
In statements to Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal, campaign spokeswoman Catherine Frazier blamed Cruz's false assertion that his family had lost their health insurance on a misunderstanding. She said an insurance broker told Cruz that BlueCross BlueShield of Texas was dropping his PPO plan, but Frazier said that the broker did not tell Cruz his family was automatically being transferred to the carrier's HMO plan.
"Based on this information, Sen. Cruz believed the family was uninsured and asked the broker to pull quotes immediately for a new policy," Frazier said.

I could not agree more. I have to wonder whose side Cruz is on. Anything that is less than deportation means hundereds of thousands of votes for Democrats, as Anglos die off. Cruz is the smartest guy in the room, right, and he wants to play footsie with these socialist hordes.
How is it not treason? It is not constitutional. Rewarding the lawless is not a virtue.
It is not serving the security interests of the United States, given the size of the invasion. It does not serve the interests of our traditions that made the USA what it was, and it is a grave injustice to all our fighting men, our forefathers. who died that we might be a free and faithful nation.
Cruz stubbornly misses the boat and must know what danger his ridiculous intentions bring down upon us. It is unbelievable for a so called “conservative” to fold to lawlessness.

Not questioning the actual dollars but instead the decision makers on his team.

It might well be the decision makers on Cruz's team. What I'm saying is that for that $20 million he collected, he should be able to get better decision makers.
I do agree that it does seem that, even going back four years ago to Michelle Bachman, and this time Jeb, Walker, and Rand Paul, you have to wonder why the people running these campaigns have jobs.

Perhaps they’re not qualified to do anything else.

“Carson isn’t fit to be president.”
I would prefer a national lottery based on DMV records to award the presidency over the Democrat candidates. In theory, the nice thing about our democracy is that practically anyone can be president. However, you are right that not everyone is fit. Do I prefer Carson? No. Would he be better than a Dem? Of course.
Now, if you look at my list of possible candidates, you will find that I included a whole range of conservative to liberal. I want the most conservative we can get in who can get things done. I think Cruz fits the bill, and so does Trump.
I am just not willing to engage in a debate over Cruz’s track record. Is he perfect? No. Is he the most conservative candidate? Yes.
“I just LOVE the way some here talk about the supposed civility of days gone by.”
Not sure who you are referring to. I have not said such.

The problem is, at least for me, is that he is starting to look like a person who lies or hides things in order to advance a narrative that advances himself in the eyes of people whose support he wants. He is only doing what he learned in an Ivy League Law School, and he was graduated with honors.

He'll be VERY LUCKY if he ever manages to get re-elected to the Senate, once his first term is over. I doubt that President Trump will want him as part of his administration.
January has been an interesting month!

This is terrible.
I am now paying $1450/month in addition to the unforgiving deductibles the Democrats have wrought. When the kids get sick or broken bones, I am paying $20k/year out of pocket.

Thats what you get with ivy league lawyers that make politics their career. Ya know, to ivy league lawyers you are just working class and beneath them. Ivy leaguers lawyers have destroyed our country, yet the working class continues to elect them as congress critters and POTUS, who then proceed to put them on the Supreme Court.

agreed gramps. I said the exact same thing on another thread. He was set to be VP, with no hurdles. His hubris bit him in the ass. Not likely to survive his next election for Senate. A snake eating it’s own tail so to speak, an Ouroboros, but not in the wholesomeness of the term, more like Filicide of your self. Idiotic. Never letting yourself mature and killing yourself before you can act like an adult. Pure hubris, and his wings are on fire.

Big questions re their birth
Both are Ivy League Law School Graduates?

If I ever had the aspiration of running for president and I knew there could be reservations about my eligibility, I would get that cleared up with the Court before I filed my first form. This is especially the case when running as the Constitutional standard-bearer. You would not want to offend the Constitution by running for an office you are ineligible for.
