In a reversal from claims made on the campaign trail, Ted Cruz's presidential campaign is now saying the senator and his family do have health insurance and never lost coverage. The late night Friday revelation came more than 24 hours after Cruz had told a New Hampshire audience that he and his family were without health insurance and were scrambling to obtain new coverage--and used the claim to slam Obamacare for the mess he was in.
In statements to Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal, campaign spokeswoman Catherine Frazier blamed Cruz's false assertion that his family had lost their health insurance on a misunderstanding. She said an insurance broker told Cruz that BlueCross BlueShield of Texas was dropping his PPO plan, but Frazier said that the broker did not tell Cruz his family was automatically being transferred to the carrier's HMO plan.
"Based on this information, Sen. Cruz believed the family was uninsured and asked the broker to pull quotes immediately for a new policy," Frazier said.

Christ.
This is not good.
unforced error. What was he thinking
Ted Cruz tried to play the “I’m a victim of Obamacare” card and it backfired.

Keep it coming...there are even MORE Ted LIES in that package.
To put it in context...
The night before the gaffe, Trump had Willie Robertson endorse him after Cruz most probably thought he had the Robertson family all locked down for his campaign.
All of a sudden, the Glenn Beck endorsement wouldn’t have the impact that his campaign had originally planned.
Cruz must feel like he has whiplash. What a week.
Heck, I feel kinda sorry for Ted. I’d be distracted too, at this point.
Typical politician!
And now being teamed up with Beck and taking that oath, but doing poorly with it? LOL
Fib against TRUMP as in “big meanie” who wants to BULLDOZE widow’s house, but leave out that it still stands, that she sold it in 2014, and the tinker bell ring-back begins.
Yikes.
Since O-Crap-Care has been forced down our throats, Iâve had to scramble each November to find coverage. Crap-care has so far broken 2 insurance contracts.
I despise the bastards responsible for the ACA.

Hey, my co-op plan in Utah, Arches, just went belly up and I have a new plan starting February 1st. Are we having fun yet?
So instead of being silly and , more importantly, is he pro-choice & pro-partial birth abortion?
I wish I was trying to be humorous in that post, Rita, but things are starting to add up in such a way that is showing Cruz to be either incompetent or a manipulator.
And I know he’s not incompetent.
This really bothers me.
I hope he is not trying to pull people’s legs and then do things slyly like vote for the Corker Bill, and then say oh i voted for it because it ensures we will have a vigorous debate on the Iran deal, or that amendment to the gang of 8 bill, which supposedly was a poison pill, but now there is an add of him saying he supports comprehensive immigration reform and people coming out of the shadows.
And often time the explanation is oh my staff didn’t tell me this, or someone else told me that or whatever else.
This is starting to stack up to someone who doesn’t shoot straight, and it’s pissing me off, I have to say.
Did you watch the Cruz-Beck rally? I didn’t see it. I wondered how it was going, since there was guaranteed to be no upside for this duo.
It’s a f’n nightmare. Hope your new insurance works out.
Are you self-employed?
If lawyers turned politician words don’t add up it’s usually because the truth wasn’t included in the equation.
This is the smartest man in the room, with the photographic memory? (not sure the term used) Wow - he just keeps digging that hole deeper and deeper. Yep, he’s the most consistent conservative alright - most consistent lying conservative.
I’m looking forward to see what Trumps comments are on this. That should be fun.
And AMNESTY too, according to his amendment recommendation, on LIVE video.
To this day, you can not get him to answer what he will do with those invading hordes who are already here. He dodges the question, with both fingers in both ears, doesn’t even hear it, singing only one song in reply. Says he wants to “deal” with the border.
I dunno, maybe you’re *for* the care and feeding of these socialists from South America and Mexico pouring over the border, and with Ted’s “pathway to legalization”, but he is against citizenship. That’s a grin in itself.
He'll be VERY LUCKY if he ever manages to get re-elected to the Senate, once his first term is over.
I doubt that President Trump will want him as part of his administration.
Don’t lose faith in Cruz. And I’m not saying you should support him.
Cruz is making a few tactical mistakes likely due to inadequate campaign support. Also, the entirety of Washington DC is against him, and not to ignore the impact of his formidable Primary opponent, Trump.
I have more political respect for Cruz than Trump. But both are brilliant and better articulate our expectations than any other GOP candidate demanding our support for POTUS.

Trump and/or Cruz 2016
Oh, I hear you, and he is on the verge of endlessly pointing-over-there, one too many times. The other guy’s fault excuse has a very short shelf life, when over used. Look at Hillary, for proof of that.
