Ailes is mad at Lowry because this move means, in the ongoing war between Fox News and Trump, Fox News has now "given up the moral high ground." Essentially, Ailes understands, that means his network looks like the unfair aggressor that Trump has accused it of being -rather than a neutral arbiter of the news - all while Trump continues soaring in the 2016 GOP primary polls.
But on Wednesday evening, Lowry appearing on Kelly's program compromised Fox's position in the war by veering down a vulgar path in his attack on Trump. Even Kelly, who also dislikes Trump, clearly was shocked at what Lowry said live on air, reacting "What did you just say? You can't say that!"
Fox has not officially announced that they have reprimanded Lowry, and there are no media reports of that at this time.

She doesn't have the body to be a good pole dancer. She does look good in the face with makeup but she will never make Sport Illustrated Swim Suit edition. At least not without heavy photoshop enhancement.
I share your humor, Albion!! Happy you enjoyed a chuckle!

I think that may not be accurate. I believe he is still married to his second wife (he had been divorced many years ago from his first wife, before this era under discussion), and it's always possible that there really was no affair, just a lot of attraction resulting in gossip. One theory is that he was directed by management to promote her: the problem there is that FoxNews believes that "promoting" women newsreaders means encouraging them to dress and act like sex objects, show a lot of leg, etc. Can't imagine how Greta has lasted, looking as professional as she does.
Like I said, I don't really care if there was an affair or not; it;s the hypocrisy of the politics of personal destruction by the media against the candidates that is just way out of line. Their role is not to make up our minds for us. If there is dirt, just report it factually with full authentication, but be willing to treat all candidates the same.
The dominance of the left means journalists have lost all aspirations to objectivity. They don't even see why it would be a good idea, much less a mark of maturity and professionalism.
Oh, I see the problem. If he had said "prick", there probably wouldn't have been an issue. The double standard has reversed itself.
You're willing to spend money on your pet hate? That's a new low even for thee, libbah.
He did creditably well at the FoxBusiness debate.
I think all these self-important assholes need to take an extended vacation and let the people decide this.
I asked onyx to post it because it gives background on the story of why Lowry decided to use Buckley's once-wonderful brand, NR, to make an even greater fool of himself than he did in this thread's link. He published his dump load on Trump two days ago. That's why now.
Megyn should show some class - - and prove she cares about the larger picture - - by voluntarily giving up her debate position.
Flip through poster archives of that era and you will thousands of the type extolling the virtue of the day, ready to defend to the death the party's position.
The odd thing is that the Soviet images face right conforming to the convention of how the eye travels while viewing. Romney oddly faces left, away from the edge of the page , inviting the flip to the next. Compare your reaction to both images. Take a look a book covers, almost all direct the eye to follow through and turn the page.
The idea here is that he assumed the moral high ground and rounded up 22 other people to do a hit on Donald Trump. This article is just one piece of backstory showing that the low road of hypocrisy has unintended consequences. Instead of writing about the issues, the magazine of which he is the editor slimed not just Trump, but impugned the American people and their ability to choose a candidate based on substantive issues, not cheap shots. So let's see who we're dealing with; this is one piece of info about his less-than-high-minded motivations.
He's been in the press for nearly 40 years, and has admitted cheating on the first one, Ivana, with the second one, Marla, whom he then married, 23 years ago. The comparison to Clinton won't wash, as Clinton was credibly accused of exploiting a young employee, of serial abuse-of-power seductions of the one-night-stand variety, and even of forcible rape. Clinton had to pay Paula Jones an $850,000 settlement; and Hillary savaged all the many accusers, such as Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Wiley, on top of her having defended a child raplist against a 12-year-old girl victim. That's not remotely comparable to Trump having cheated on his first wife, whose ambitious and competitive drives may have contributed to a marriage breakdown. Not excusing cheating as a solution; but there's a quantitative and qualitative difference in the two men's stories.
In the short-lived second marriage, Marla is the one rumored to have been the cheater in that marriage, not too long into it. Both the ex-wives have said he would make a great president.
Turmp himself recently said, when interviewed about his serial marriages, that they were good women and the fault was his for working all the time and not spending enough time at home; but that his present wife has straightened him out on that.
I've seen nothing said about cheating since the split from Ivana 24 years ago.
He met Melania 18 years ago after the split from Marla, and they eventually married and had their son a year after they were married 10 or 11 years ago. He and Melania appear to have a very close and mutually admiring relationship; and he is very close with all his children, three of whom are married, and with his 7 grandchildren. They are also on a cordial basis with Melania, unlike the grown children of many divorces; and Ivana continues to live in her own section of Mar-a-Lago. In fact, Donald was present at Mar-a-Lago when she married one of her subsequent boy toys there. Neither of her two marriages after Donald to much younger men have lasted, indicating some judgment issues there; whereas he has achieved stability as a paterfamilias to a congenial group of offspring.

It's been a wonderful election activity, RitaOK! Thanks for all you do as well, and majority credit certainly goes to the many FR supporters (I'm sure I missed many) who post threads, research, links, pix and astute rebuttal comments -- especially for keeping "our" side civil, backed up by research, and issues-driven.
On the other hand, reproduction technology to some extent drives all graphic art in a similar way worldwide in each era. Here are some of the Boy Scout repros from the 30s - 50s, and your point is well taken about where the protagonist is looking:
In fairness, the Romney image is looking to "his" right; and the Soviets to "their" left. That's why an art director has to think deeply about imagery, what it actually communicates below the surface to the reader, and as you note, how it functions to compel the all-important "eye-ball hang time."
Correction: 18 years after the split from Ivana
Thanks for the ping.
Sorry. That was a hazy/lazy reference to the Fox news clip below. I was lumping Lowery in with Tommy Vietor in an oblique way. Your thread (via onyx) was right on the money.
"Spokesman Tommy Vietor joined Bret live on set for Special Report and when asked about whether he changed the word attacks to demonstrations in the Susan Rice talking points, Vietor said he did not remember because-- "Dude, this was like two years ago.." "
I disagree. I think she’s very bright.
Her problem is that she has an unprofessional agenda. She has taken sides and can’t hide it.
Makes more sense now!! I do remember that particular calumny. Hope he went to see 13 Hours and wakes up with nightmares for the rest of the lives of the dead heroes’ parents, wives and children.
