Today on CNN's State of the Nation, Jake Tapper revisited an old question with Donald Trump. He asked him about his faith and specifically about if he had ever asked forgiveness. By my count this is the third time that Trump has been asked the question.
At he Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, back in June:
Trump, who told CNN earlier that he is both anti-abortion and anti-same-sex marriage, said people are surprised to learn about his Christian faith.
"People are so shocked when they find ... out I am Protestant. I am Presbyterian. And I go to church and I love God and I love my church," he said.
Moderator Frank Luntz asked Trump whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions.
"I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don't think so," he said. "I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don't bring God into that picture. I don't."
Trump said that while he hasn't asked God for forgiveness, he does participate in Holy Communion.
"When I drink my little wine -- which is about the only wine I drink -- and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed," he said. "I think in terms of 'let's go on and let's make it right.'"
As an aside, Trump has both supported partial birth abortion and just this weekend floated naming a pro-abort as his vice-presidential choice.
In an interview with Anderson Cooper in July:

I believe Donald Trump neither knows what a Christian is nor, for that matter cares any farther than what they can do for him personally.
Donald Trump has his own personal diety....himself.
I remember when Scott Brown was running for Senate, there were a lot of “Freepers” already had him as Presidential material...Maybe even some Cruz supporters.
Without Trump we would be faced with yet another Bush getting the nomination, and then throwing the election to Clinton the way McCain threw it to 0bama.
“You support the Donaldâs plan to legalize 11m illegal immigrants??”
I like it more than Cruz’s plan (legalization by default), or Rubio’s or Bush’s. At least we get some say as to who is legalized.
Actually, by going out and trying to do better, shows understanding of Christianity. “Now Go and Sin No More.” Modern Christians are increasingly hiding behind the meme of “We are all sinners and are fallen.” I guess they all forget Christ was sent. Since then, we have all became “Saints tempted by Sin.” Our job is to recognize when the Holy Spirit is helping us to turn away from sin and temptation and choose to walk with Christ instead of following temptation.
Lies?
Hmm, could it be another Trump supporter who doesn’t realize Trump wants to deport 11m illegals and then bring them all right back and make them legal??
I am not surprised, facts don’t seem to matter for the Donald worshippers
Google Trump Dana Bash CNN immigration interview.
I’ve been a Trump supporter. But that is absolutely hilarious. Spot on.
Although I doubt he would be stupid enough to say it in public, in his mind I bet Trump thinks he is bigger than Jesus.
Ghost, your post#14 is very well stated.
TRUMP: Vladimir Putin's praise is 'a great honor'
Business Insider ^ | December 17, 2015 | By Maxwell Tani
Republican US presidential front-runner Donald Trump is apparently "honored" that Russian President Vladimir Putin considers the real-estate magnate a "flamboyant" and "very talented" man.
"It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond," Trump said in a statement, according to Politico.
He continued: "I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect."

How’s he polling with the Man Upstairs? Did he say?
Legalization by default? Lol, is this another Trump invention?
There is no such thing.
No kidding. I don’t know what Bible these people are reading. Do they believe that God Doesn’t Know our hearts?
Pharisees
Honesty does not involve bribing politicians and using the favors to get policies that benefit himself financially.
He probably just wants to build a few hotels and casinos up there.
How is Trumps relationship with Jesus? He may be talking about himself as a god.
“God don’t make no mistakes, that’s how he got to be God!”.....Archie Bunker.
My life is about one ten-trillionth of Trump’s, don’t even get the opportunity to commit those “big” sins like celebrities do, yet I’m constantly asking for forgiveness from God, I mean all the time.
Trump seems to think if he engages in a certain activity, or thinks certain thoughts, that these aren’t sinful by virtue of the fact that he is Donald Trump and he is not capable of sin. By Definition.
In other words, Trump sees himself as a god, and not only that but a god whose very essence is out of reach of evil and temptation.
This is somewhat concerning.
What do YOU think will eventually happen with Cruz’s policy of “looking the other way” regarding the Illegals? Do you SERIOUSLY think they’ll go home? Do you SERIOUSLY think that the GOPe won’t give them Amnesty once they get the opposition out of the way. They came WITHIN TWO DAYS 18 months ago. They will get it next time.
