Coulter, Mair debate what's best for GOP (Video)
Republican strategist Liz Mair and conservative columnist Ann Coulter debate whether or not Ted Cruz should be able to run for president.
LIZ MAIR, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: In 2013, you were out there saying Ted Cruz was a natural-born citizen and eligible to run for office. People can check my Twitter feed, I retweeted your tweet from 2013 today.
ANN COULTER: I changed my mind.
LIZ MAIR: Well you were right the first time...
Ann also said that Mitt Romney was the "perfect" and best Republican candidate.
ANN COULTER: He was, there was no Trump back then.
LIZ MAIR: And she kissed Chris Christie's backside up the wazoo.
ANN COULTER: Until he went bad on immigration.
LIZ MAIR: This is not. Yeah--
ANN COULTER: In fact, my ideal ticket is Trump/Romney. That's what I'm really hoping for. That's the dynamite combo.
LIZ MAIR: And that's the proof right there that you are in no way conservative, and in no way interested in conservative policy.

She trashes, no degrades, Trump supporters daily. Jim Robinson who I respect a great deal, is a Trump supporter. It is she who needs straightening out.
Wanna bet?
It's the new FR. A 2010 n00b tells a 2000 FReeper what JimRob's going to do. The Donald storm that swept in is certainly broad and decimating.
Doubtful. Being pro-Trump counts for a lot.
Get my mind right, huh? You going to do it?
Bygones be bygones
It’s between them, not us. I like both. It’s a battle about who’s the most conservative. I’m the round-card girl.

That was a fun time too, eh? However, the comparison has NO relevance to Ted Cruz or his supporters. Giuliani supporters were banned due to Rudy's ... less-than-doctrinaire positions on abortion, immigration, gays and guns.
Some days I’m glad to have been out all day.
Today was my grandmother’s funeral and that was a lighter hearted affair than FR is these days.
I’m sorry about your grandmother, CC. I know she was sick for a long time.
Can’t complain. She was only bedridden for about the last week of her life. She passed at home in her own bed with family taking care of her.
She had one last family Christmas and I think that’s what sustained her in recent months.
Liz Mair looking for some publicity?
Yeah, if you have your choice, that’s definitely the best way to go.
I’m glad everybody could be with her for Christmas.
Sorry to hear about your Grandmother, CC.
I visited the day before she died. She couldn’t speak clearly but she squeezed my hand.
I was wearing a surgical mask because I’ve been fighting some kind of flu and she was saying something that I couldn’t understand. My niece who has been her primary nurse in the last few months said she wanted me to take the mask off and that it really didn’t matter because she was close to the end.
I did learn today that she spent an extra 6 months in the WAVES as part of a deal for the NAVY to release her brother from the remaining 6 months of his service so he could be home with his wife who was suffering from cancer herself.
I made sure to shake the hand of all the honor guard who performed the graveside service today. Mostly Vietnam vets with a couple who served in Desert Storm.
So she was able to recognize you right up until the end.
She sounds like a lady who really cherished her family.
One advantage to being the son of a teen mother. I had 51 years with my grandmother.
You’re absolutely right about that. My parents were in their forties when they had me, and I didn’t have any of my grandparents for long. My husband’s mom was in her early twenties, and his maternal grandmother is still with us.
