Over the weekend, a series of dramatic events stemming from Saudi Arabiaâs execution of Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr plunged the Mid-East further into chaos.
The torching of the Saudi embassy in Tehran prompted Riyadh to cut diplomatic ties with the Iranians and on Monday, Bahrain quickly followed while the UAE recalled its ambassador.
Now, the stage is set for a full blown sectarian showdown complete with protests by oppressed Shiites in the Gulf states, anti-Sunni sentiment in Iran and Iraq, and, in a worst case scenario, a direct (as opposed to a proxy) conflict between the Saudis and the Iranians.
This morning, the headlines surrounding the turmoil are coming fast and furious and in the latest escalation, the Saudi foreign ministry says the kingdom will now cut all commercial ties with Iran.
SAUDI ARABIA TO CUT OFF IRAN COMMERCIAL TIES, FM SAYS: REUTERS
According to Reuters, all flights to and from Iran will be stopped and Saudi citizens will be banned from traveling to the country.
All commercial ties with Iran being cut off, Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Adel Al-Ahmad Al-Jubeir said, Reuters tweeted. Citizens banned from traveling to Iran Severing of ties comes after years of aggression; Iranian pilgrims welcome in Saudi Arabia, Al-Jubeir said, according to Al-Arabiya tweets of comments on Reuters
Apprently, the Saudis are set to use the embassy fire and the protests at the consulate in Mashhad as an excuse to reapply the "pariah state" label to Tehran just as the lifting of international sanctions was set to usher in a fresh start for relations between the West, its regional allies, and the Iranians.

the article misses the most important point.
the action preventing Saudi’s from visiting Iran most importantly prohibits the shia Iranians from visiting Saudi Arabia. that is, no hajj visas to Iranian shias. they are cut off from Mecca
We don’t. Whatever we know or think we know about that part of the world is far outweighed by what we don’t.
The reason SA panicked several months ago about the Iranians in Yemen is that the Iranians put a force there that SA thought was capable of striking into SA and taking Mecca, and destroying the haj. So SA came up with their 10 sunni nation force to fight "terrorism."
SA built a wall/moat. In the sand, even.
Saudi Arabia, an “ally”??? The same Saudi Arabia who was behind 9/11? The same Saudi Arabia who is spreading terror & death around the world? The same Saudi Arabia who abuses women & treats them as non-human? An “ally”???
The day SA ceases to exist will be a wonderful day. Let it happen soon.
Iran has already stopped Iranians from going to Mecca.

When was this announced?
The Sauds are toast. They just donât know it yet.
An overthrow of the Saudis would make 2016 EVEN MORE ‘INTERESTING’.-
Yet later in the year, during the Hajj, many Iranians were in Saudi and some were killed.

The first plane carrying bodies of Iranian pilgrims killed in the Hajj stampede in Saudi Arabia arrived in Tehran, nine days after the disaster that escalated tensions between the two regional rivals.
President Hassan Rouhani and other senior officials were at the airport for Saturday’s arrival of the plane, which carried 104 bodies. State TV says another flight is due later in the day.
Saudi authorities say 769 pilgrims died in the stampede in the Mecca district of Mina in the worst disaster to strike the annual pilgrimage in a quarter-century.
Medical sources had told Al Jazeera the death toll could be much higher. One medic at a Mina hospital said the toll was “definitely over a thousand”.
Iran appears to have lost the largest number of pilgrims, saying 464 of its nationals died in the incident.
Those Saudis got their bags packed, 747 parked in the garage right next to their bedroom. They won’t fight for their sand dunes cause they got those billions in the banks. Once ISIS is defeated, Iran is gonna walk right in.
I bet we are gonna see more mass executions and we aren’t gonna see the biggest ones....although it funny how stuff gets caught on cell phones and transmitted.
The Saudi Royals might say....HEY IF THE SYRIA WAR HAS GAS WARFARE GOING ON....WE CAN USE IT TOO. I’D SAY SELLING GAS MASKS TO IRAN OUGHT TO BE A VERY PROFITABLE BUSSINESS RIGHT NOW.
Looks like war between Iran and Saudi Arabia—Where will ISIS Stand on this? Iran has Russian Help—will we help Arabia? Could be the spark that sets off WW III.
oDUMBI won’t lead ....he will pull another Libya and lead from behind.....the Euros will take center. ISIS will fight the Iranians with Saudi help, but it won’t be enough.
Remember the final objective is to have the moslums kill each other by the tens of millions every week till they understand that they must cast away the old testament mindset and join the modern fukn world.
You’re probably right - contingency plans in place, and ready to go.
