A majority of Americans have a negative view of Islam after the terrorist attacks in Paris and California, including a majority of Democrats.
Fifty-eight percent of Americans now have an unfavorable opinion of Islam, according to the latest YouGov/Huffpost poll of Americans. That number includes 45 percent of Democrats, 58 percent of Independents and 75 percent of Republicans.
Only 27 percent of Democrats have a favorable opinion of Islam while 45 percent, nearly twice as many have an unfavorable view. Only 11 percent of Republicans and 15 percent of Independents have a favorable view of the religion.
Only 23 percent of Americans in the poll said they had friends who were Muslim while 67 percent said that they didn't. Ten percent were unsure.
The survey included 1,000 Americans and has a 4.1 percent margin of error.

So that 67 percent that dont have Muslim friends could really be 77 percent (!)
Doesn't look like assimilation to me.

That number includes:
45 percent of Democrats
58 percent of Independents
75 percent of Republicans
I guess I am the odd out. I do not have any acquaintances that are not pasty white Americans.

As well they should. It is a junk religion FAR inferior to Christianity and not to be encouraged.
Yet, they cling to the idea that Trump’s proposal is wildly outrageous, and NO ONE would ever dream of supporting it except for hardcore “racists.”
I’m going out on a limb here and predict that the 2016 election will be a referendum on Islam.

My God democrats are a leftist problem.
Do they not care that these people mutilate and murder their daughters and wives, that women are second class, that all non muslims are second class, that they kill gays, that they seek religious world wide government, that half the world is at war because of them?
I suppose that I am in the minority here. I POSITIVELY loathe Islam.

I don’t know any personally but when I see one I have a very negative (that’s being nice) view of them.

It’s certainly a referendum on immigration.
Donald Trumps best quality...he LISTENS. He listened to all of us on immigration and trade. He listens to the people.
Evidently the ONLY one in politics today, other than Jeff Sessions, willing to put his butt on the line to tell us the truth.
He LISTENS...and evidently he listened in 2004, during the debates of the presidential race when Bob Shieffer of CBS stated that the most questions he got from the PUBLIC to ask the candidates was about.... WAIT FOR IT...

If you have a muslim friend, how do you know if it is a real friend or a Taqiya friend?
Muslims have done absolutely NOTHING to help themselves in this regard. We have not seen the large Muslim anti-terrorist demonstrations.
