... I spent much of Friday afternoon rewatching that clip as though it was the Zapruder film and--I can't believe I'm about to say this--I think Trump's technically right: He doesn't explicitly advocate for creating the database. Yes, he seems to go along with the general idea after the reporter asks him about it--but he also doesn't explicitly endorse it either. The reporter is asking about Muslims in America, but Trump appears unable to imagine that group includes U.S. citizens, which is probably why he immediately starts talking about the wall--a telling blind spot for a man campaigning on nativist anger and fear ...

Seems to me he exonerates him while insulting him at will.
So yes, on the one hand it’s strange, and yet overall it’s the same old trash and burn.
The Left can’t even get it right when it’s getting it right.
That's exactly what he does. The Left will always be the Left.

Never expect truth from the left while they are promulgating “truth.” Slate is all your need to know. Never let the truth get in the way of the agenda.
Mark Levin played the audio. There is nothing to this.
(Of course Mark got worked up. I love when Mark gets worked up. He can get wound up and still be brilliant.)
Trump is not my first pick, but this will make his support stronger and will not in any way discourage his fans. I think they know this. They are trying to discourage crossover Democrats and Independents.
Tell me it aint so!! We want that!!
Megyn on Fox News was discussing this with some guy and Alan (urp) Colms.
She was really irritating me. Her theme was ‘Trump is trying to walk this back.’ And she mentioned his closing the Mosques thing.
She really still wants to hurt him. Problem: A lot of us actually aren’t all that crazy about Muslims.
Guilty of what, Leni? I didn't watch it.
I watched it. She was operating from the meme that Trump had said and meant registering all Muslims. She made it sound like he’d realized it was wrong and trying to walk it back.
She used that term ‘walk it back.’
In this case I’ll take the exoneration.
This was a blatant attempt to lie about Trump.
The execrable worm that wrote this story should be forced to use Harry Reid’s’ treadmill at least twice maybe three times.
They do this because politicians cannot sue journopigs for slander.
The thing that the GOPe, media and talking heads do not understand:
“They didn’t make Trump, Trump made Trump what he is today, and the only thing that can take Trump out is Trump himself, which he isn’t going to do...”
I had fully expected her to analyze his actual in-context quotes on the subject and mount a defense against the anti-Trump media trick-ery and gotcha-trap-ery filling the ether today, but she didn't.
(Actually, I really didn't expect her to do so....she hates Trump).
Leni
MehGyn just cannot get over her Trump obsession. Her hate for Trump overwhelms any modicum of sense/rationality she may possess.
What’s with that strange speech pattern of hers, anyways? It’s like her snarling lip gets curled up, every three or four rapidly spewed words. I can’t even stand to watch her. Thanks for taking one for the team!
She attacks him every night without any success
RUSH spent the first hour parching how Trump was trapped by a typical leftist reporter putting words in his mouth that weren’t said...
No one hates Trump quite like Meg hates Trump, who must be the only man left in the world willing to give back to the narcissist as good as he. She trashed him, going for the throat. He hit back. And “whatever”.
And a lot of us aren’t crazy about Meg. That’s for sure.
I split an artery after she tried to take him down in the debate. Can’t, won’t and don’t want to watch her since, but that’s just me.
“as good as he gets” was what I meant to say. .)
