Donald Trump is taking it easy on Bobby Jindal, despite being called an "egomaniacal madman" by the Louisiana governor just two months before Jindal decided to withdraw from the 2016 presidential race.
"[Jindal] was, you know, a little nasty with me," Trump told CNN Wednesday, less than 24 hours after the two-term governor announced the suspension of his campaign during an appearance on Fox News.
"But I think ultimately [he] was very nice," Trump added. "Everyone's nasty to me because they want to get votes."

I’m a Cruz guy, donated, volunteered, love the guy but apparently petulant narcissism outpolls presidential 3:1 - As much as I want Cruz to be President I think Trump has better shot at destroying the democrats next fall. His is a different kind of campaign, a unbridled populism, a total and in your face rejection of political correctness. It could be the difference between revolutionary election that turns the country or just another election where dwindling numbers of conservatives lose to the machine of Democrats and their zombie entitlement hordes.
“Not actually true, but I assume it’s comforting to think that.”
Why would it be comforting to me? I just noticed that many posters never bothered to read what Trump said, just went with the headline. Did exactly what they accused Trump of doing.
From CBS News:
SEPTEMBER 12, 2015, 5:15 AM|The Louisiana governor has called Trump a “narcissist,” an “egomaniac,” and “full of foolishness and nonsense.”
He also said something about Trump’s trust with nuclear weapons (he never said that about Obama) and his remarks were used against Trump for the first question in the second debate.
Does this clown think that the issues that Trump has majored in and have propelled him to the top are nothing but “foolishness and nonsense”?
Trump’s comment about Jindal dropping out was very generous, in case you didn’t bother reading beyond the headline.
Jindal’s hit was not in response to a hit from Trump. Strictly out of the blue on Jindal’s part to try to get attention. He came back here last night and attacked Trump.
Trump is a counter-puncher. He did NOT initiate attack on Jindal, Graham, Perry, FioRino, etc.
Only candidate Trump made fun of is Jeb Bush, and all he said was Bush was low energy.
As for Carson, Trump quoted from Carson’e own book. How is that an attack?
You are not making any sense.

Trump is a whiny baby. He is as bad as bambi. Sickening. One would think will his military school training he would have developed manners and a sense of decorum.
You will see what that Cruz is the adult when the two dual it out.
Here is the short list that you asked for me to provide.
1)For most of his adult life he has been a democrat
2)He changes political philosophy more than he changes wives.
3) He seems to lack a grasp of limited government or a love of liberty.
4)He acts like he is running for monarch not for the head of but one branch of government.
4) Like most New Yorkers, he has a scorn for the more rural areas of the country. The red-blue divide is really an urban- rural divide.
5)I don't trust him, he is an egomaniac who has spent his life in self-aggrandizement. I cannot picture him pledging his life, fortune and sacred honor for the cause of liberty, but I have no problem imagining him sacrifice liberty to enhance his life, fortune or honors.
6) I don't believe he is a student of our founding and has little use for the constitution.
6) He is a populist that appeals to the more base emotions of the easily incited.
7) He lacks a moral compass because he lacks a moral foundation.
8) I don't like getting played by campaign conservatives, if you want the big chair, be a conservative for more than one election cycle and then, maybe we will talk.
9)He is like code pink, blocking the voice of others candidates, he has made the election about himself and not about issues and leadership. Attention whoring in the age of the Kardasians is no way to elect leaders.
10) He lacks graciousness, refinement and class a befitting the office. Instead of matching the vulgar character of the current occupant, I want to see the dignity of the office restored as America once again becomes the beacon of hope for liberty and the leader of righteousness in the world.
11) Trump is willing to engage in graft,(albeit legal-yet immoral) theft by use of Eminent domain and probably had a few legs broken to get what he wants. His win at all costs is Pyrrhic. We want our country back, not transform it into Trumpville USA.
I am seeing repudiation of Political Correctness in action, for the first time my lifetime. (I am on Medicare). Frankly, it is a refreshing change. If Romney & McCain had stopped being PC, we may not have had to endure 8 years of this dude...

So why is Trump trouncing all his opponents? Why is Trump resonating with the voters in almost every state? Is your viewpoint in the minority? Why why why?
Jindal’s attack was unprovoked and particularly nasty. Go have a look at it. Do you really expect Trump to invite someone into his cabinet after that? Would you?
Go Trump/Cruz 2016.
Reuters rolling poll nov 13-17
Because politics is never a love-fest. It is hard ball all the way. If one can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.
Trump used the word nasty, and not nice, terrible or terrific, so he’s showing some vocabulary growth.

Trump is a Realist.-—
Or he’s one of them.
I saw Jindal bow out last night and he mentioned that we needed someone very strong to lead this country. He would not any one person of course. Too early for anyone to do that.
I know it’s politically incorrect here at Free Republic, but I disagree.
It sure is refreshing we aren’t going to run a pushover RINO this year.
“Trump is a whiny baby”.
Nah, he’s just fighter, not the Romneyesque milquetoast type of candidate that you’re looking for.
We all know Cruz is more qualified and the better candidate. We also know Trump can win.
Go Trump!
Liberal churches, Public schools and television media have occluded reason and made America a mostly illiterate, unthinking bunch of celebrity chasing zombies.
I present to you exhibit one - The election of Obama.
Exhibit two - the reelection of Obama
Exhibit three Governor Ventura, Schwarzenegger and senator Franken.
Remember Hillary is leading on polls too, I kinda want something more than celebrity populism, but them I am a Christian conservative.
He also said...
