Donald Trump is taking it easy on Bobby Jindal, despite being called an "egomaniacal madman" by the Louisiana governor just two months before Jindal decided to withdraw from the 2016 presidential race.
"[Jindal] was, you know, a little nasty with me," Trump told CNN Wednesday, less than 24 hours after the two-term governor announced the suspension of his campaign during an appearance on Fox News.
"But I think ultimately [he] was very nice," Trump added. "Everyone's nasty to me because they want to get votes."

And Trump is perfectly respectful about everyone.
But he also understands the why— the way the game is played. Jindal just listened to he wrong advisors
Do candidates’ names remain on primary ballots even though they drop out of the race?
Shockingly, Donald Trump immediately interprets a new event solely in terms of how it affects his personal feelings.
I wish Jindal had not ATTACKED Trump because he would have been good in a cabinet position. At this stage, I don’t blame Trump for no longer trusting him.
Trump, as always, is the adult in the room. That’s why he’s winning.
Trump acting like a victim...we already have a thin skinned POTUS named Barack.
Go Trump!
Frankly, sometimes Trump sounds like a whiny kid. He is as thin skinned as the current guy in the white house.
Trump understands that that is all that “gets the votes”—”feelings”.
There is no truth in the public square allowed anymore-—everything is based on emotions-—it is the Postmodernist age-—if it ‘feels” good, it is “good”. It is the result of the Prussian “group think” factories that pump out non-thinking useful idiots.
Our children are immersed in “feelings’ 24/7 and ignorant of history/facts and Wisdom of the Ages-—it is only by “perceptions” that anything is won in today’s soundbite culture.
Trump is a Realist.
Compare Trump’s statement to Cruz’s. One is presidential and gracious the other more like a petulant narcissist.
That’s what he would like you to think but he’s got thick skin that only New Yorkers can truly appreciate.
Go Trump!
I'd be a bit more enthusiastic of him as a candidate if I didn't have to hear about his every thought.
That doesn't cost Trump a single vote if he omitted commenting on each and every candidate or event in human history. I would have thought Trump would like to get Jindal supporters but by insulting their candidate of choice, especially those who have supported Jindal with their hard earned money, would be less likely to throw their support behind someone, however legitimate Trump thinks it is, to insult a guy on the way out the door!
Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
Still don’t understand how Jindal was eligible to be President. Yes, he was born here but neither of his parents were US citizens.
Yes he was nasty. He was trying to suck to the establishment and completely blew it. Say ‘good-night’ Bobby.
Waaaah.... Toughen up,princess. Politics is rough business.
I might be forced to vote for Trump but I don't consider him a gentleman in any sense of the word.
Yes this is politics but Jindal is leaving the platform - why on earth feel the need to kick him in the backside as the door closes???
Yup. Very presidential. Making everything personal.
