Remember that the media is trying to destroy the Republican candidates.
Whether any of us want Carson or not, they do this.
The campaign groups do this.
For all we know, Dr. Carson could have performed some life-saving surgery on a patient who then afterward painted that picture and gave it to Carson. For whatever reason, not having an explanation for the picture seems to make everyone assume the worst.
One has plenty to be concerned about regarding Carson as a viable candidate, but let’s not fall for silly stuff like that. At least that’s how I see it.

I have no contempt for Carson. I don’t know why he is running for president. He is very much an enigma and I can’t vote for that.

The only answer is, they're employees of the GOP establishment, who've put them there to act as pawns in a chess game. They'll stay in the race just as long as they're being paid to do so.

I think so too, he has the grass roots organization while the others do not. That’s the key to wining in Iowa.
Trump and, to a slightly lesser extent, Carson also have very good grass roots organizations. And the role of Gov. Branstad’s political machine is mostly unknown at this time. It supported Walker with Christie as a second choice, but neither looks to be in it at this point.

I think most of the “unsure” were once Carson supporters. They are now sitting on the sidelines waiting to see who they will vote for.
