Ben Carson
Honestly, I am ready for his tax plan. And I don’t mean his team slightly modifying the plan Trump has had out there for a while.
I am ready for his immigration plans. I am ready for his trade policy plans. I am ready for his plans to grow the economy. I am ready for his plans for the military. Is Trump the only one willing to take a position on issues?
I am ready for a little substance. Honestly, he’s offered less substance than Rick Santorum. If Santorum was black, he would have received at least this amount of attention. And, honestly, Santorum has put up at least as much substance.
Carson is a good and nice man. He’s not leading on issues. The issues that he does talk about, like ethanol, only makes me want him less.
Time for substance.
The media hasn’t done this kind of legwork since they were drilling deep into Obama’s past. I still marvel at how he thought he could get away with all of the inconsistencies in his birth documents with this pit bull press. We were *this* close to an Obama presidency until they got to work!
Guy phoned into Rush, Nov 6 2015
Guy enlisted in the Army. Had been in for 2 years (?)
1981, the Army was desperate to rebuild the forces.
Some Army recruiter requested a meeting. The recruiter stated the Guy, and no one else in his group, would be admitted to Westpoint upon aplication. The Army needed a Ten year commitment.
The Guy turned down the offer cause 10 years seemed like forever.
The Guy told rush he regrets that decision to turn down Westpoint
I don’t have white guilt. That’s just a stupid thing to say.
Ya, and some of your best friends are black.
*There is no such thing as âscholarshipsâ to service academies..
And no one thinks Hillary is honest about a single thing, nor do I think she would fare well against Trump, Carson, Cruz, or Rubio (but Rubio would be the easiest). That's why we need her in the race.
thanks for the, who did you put it, “supposed” correction.
The following is corroborated by two independent sources. Carson misremembered the day. Otherwise everything lines up pretty nicely. This is a substantial validation of a person’s memory.
The Army records and Detroit News archival records show Westmoreland was in Detroit on Feb. 18, 1969, for a dinner honoring a Vietnam War veteran. The banquet was for Congressional Medal of Honor winner Dwight Johnson, a Detroit African-American who risked his life âbeyond the call of duty,â according to a website about black participation in the Vietnam War.
Remember the credible (FBI) rape charge against Bill Clinton? And how the press went nuts over it?
Oh wait, the press didn’t give a damn... about that or any other crime committed by democrats.
True, but the academy in question does use the S-word.
Note how the pitch omits mention of the post-graduation service commitment. They're the government, so full disclosure does not apply to them.
Where does Carson say that the offer came directly from Westmoreland?
the “supposed’ was my emphasis ......I meant it to come off as the the way the media was reporting it. I did not mean that Carson supposedly claimed to have been at dinner with Westmoreland.
Glad to hear that the date was wrong and all of it checks out.
no doubt about that:)
So apparently Carson got the date wrong and records now confirm the real date of the dinner.
Of course he knew how admission to West Point works.
The problem was, he wanted to be a doctor, which meant he needed to be in med school after college, not on active duty in the US Army. That's why he declined the Army's offer to get him into West Point and instead applied to Yale.
There's nothing deceptive in his account.
Worthless RINOs like O'Reilly think it's necessary to reach across the aisle to be in the no-spin zone and therefore call Carson a liar over fine semantic distinctions.
N00B springwater13’s posting history, net presence ... prolly paid troll. Radar up.
That’s exactly what it looks like to me.
