Ben Carson said Thursday that the names of two people he has previously identified as victims of his childhood violence are "fictitious."
"I don't like to generally bring them in, the names I used for instance are fictitious names because I don't want to bring people into something like this because I know what you guys do to their lives‎," Carson told reporters in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Allot about him is strange. How many successful people came out of his Detroit neighborhood. That alone is strange. That being said. I am not voting for him in the primary. I will only vote for him if he gets the nomination. That goes for almost all the Republicans.
Like Herman Cain, this Carson fraud sure has “all this stuff twirling around in [his] head...”. What a loser!

Did he say they were fictitious names? If he passed off his information as biographical, it should be verifiable. Now the “victims” can’t be found so he says they’re fictitious names? Sure.
I have no idea why the stabbing incident draws so much incredulity. I grew up in New York and was stabbed during a fight. My own brother also once grabbed a knife to stab me after I beat his ass for some stupid thing I don’t even remember. And 50 years later there are not two closer brothers anywhere. I think a lot of you led very sheltered and serene lives. :-)
Dr. Carson is a very good, decent and brilliant man. He would be a very honorable person to lead this country. The childish responses shown by some people posting on FR is foolish. Dr. Carson rocketed to the public scene a few years back when he dismantled Obama’s policies at the National Prayer Breakfast with Obama’s pathetic self sitting there having to hear it. He was a fantastic voice for conservative values then and still is, today.
Carson may or may not hold up under the pressures or the scrutiny of the campaign. There are others who may have better plans or turn out to be a better fit for the nomination. But the stupid remarks from some on this site who attack him are embarrassing. Conservatives believe in substance. DU is about mindless attacks. Some of you belong on DU.

The way his book described it, it wasn’t a “thug past” so much as a boyhood dispute that got out of hand because he was having trouble dealing with anger. It wasn’t described as habitual behavior, rather a frightening overreaction that could have been worse had the other kid’s buckle not deflected the knife. I was under the impression it was just a pocketknife. The incident made him realize he had a real problem and needed to think about ways to control his temper so if he got angry again it wouldn’t turn out disastrous all around.
It’s not unusual at least in my day for fights to break out that parents were never privy to... once you’ve grown up and moved on it’s water under the bridge.
Kinda like Obama’s fake name girlfriends but somehow I believe Carson and he might be on happy drugs.

I agree with you totally. I am disgusted with some of the vile comments on this thread. And Carson is way down my list, but I love the man.
Thomas Glover, Jerry Washington, Charlie Thomas. That's just three. There were lots more, and most all of them are dead now.
They lived as thugs and died like punks. Every one.
I would agree with you that Dr. Carson is not my first choice at this time. I strongly lean to Sen. Ted Cruz. But I have listened to Dr. Carson at length talk about fundamentals like national debt, tax rates, better education, how to deal with the out of control crime among minorities, Obamacare and others and he sure doesn’t sound like a whack job on those topics to me.
He is very smart and has some good ideas. I just don’t see him in my mind becoming the president, but I like him. Some of the clownish stuff I hear on this site is really dumb.

As others have said it’s ironic how if you even questioned anything about Obama you were racist.
But it’s all out war trying to finding anything no matter how trivial or meaningless about what he did or didn’t do as a kid about Carson to try to turn it into a scandal.

I agree. Some of the posters on this thread, and most of the Carson threads for that matter, should be members of the MSM. They’d fit right in.
