From coast to coast, conservatives score huge victories in off-year elections
The Washington Post ^ | Novermber 4, 2015 | James Hohmann

Just like the midterms one year ago, it was another awful night for Democrats. Republican Matt Bevin won a big upset in the Kentucky governors race. Democrats failed to pick up Virginias state Senate. Houstons Equal Rights Ordinance, designed to protect the rights of gay citizens and others, failed by a wide margin. Ohio rejected marijuana legalization by a two-to-one margin. Even in San Francisco, the sheriff who steadfastly defended the citys sanctuary city policy went down.

Bushes have put worse Judges than anyone on the courts, so that is not a big selling point.
People appointed by Bushes gave us Obamacare.

“How long before the nay-sayers on this website claim that this does not matter and that the voters should have stayed at home?”

There are a lot of no-fight Freepers.

From the article:

Bill Simon, one of Jeb Bush’s most prominent boosters, is okay after parachuting out of his crashing private airplane.

Uh, no. He didn't jump out of the plane. He deployed a parachute that retarded the decent of the entire plane.

It didn't really "crash" -- it just plopped to the ground in a controlled descent. The airplane was probably damaged, as the chute isn't intended to protect the plane -- it's intended to make the impact survivable for the occupants.

And, the lamestream media wonders why no one trusts them. They can't even get important details right.

The legal marijuana initiative in Ohio was really about the authors of the initiative trying to fool voters into giving them a monopoly of 10 farms with the exclusive rights to grow all of the marijuana. Only a fool would a voted for that. Even libtards didn’t like it.

Republicans have to win in 2016. If not, the democrat fraud generating machine will be insurmountable. They can turn out “voters” nationally, but locally, it’s too unstructured. Electoral verification has to be a top priority in any new republican administration.

April 15, 2016 should be a huge rally in D.C. like in 2009... Followed by more huge rallies every month until election day.

The two Northeastern states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania bucked the conservative trend seen in Kentucky, Virginia, Texas, and Ohio in this off year election. The GOP, even the GOP-e, has been dying slowly north of the Potomac and east of the Alleghenies. The eleven state region is beginning to resemble Cold War era Soviet satellite states, where there was a one party monopoly, with occasionally a compromised second party allowed to keep up a pretense of democracy.

Voters like the freebies but don’t want to pay for them??

How so? With bonds, you get the goodies now and stick future taxpayers with the bill. Or just go bankrupt like Detroit and stick the bond holders. Don’t tax me, tax thee, tax the guy behind the tree.

The one trend I’m seeing is that 2015-16 is shaping up as a good election cycle for outsiders who aren’t immersed in the political scene.

Reserve your celebrating for after these officials actually do something conservative while in office.

Don't reserve your celebrating. That is tactically wrong. Your advice betrays a profound naivete about human nature. In the struggle ahead, we can't afford the kind of emotionalism you just demonstrated. The Web is a leadership tool, so act like a leader. Celebrate every single advance—accompanied by what the next steps are.

The reason is that there is no ultimate victory (conservative action) without the preliminary victory (conservatives getting elected). There will be countless setbacks, and progress will much of the time be glacial. But do not, just to protect yourself emotionally against your own disappointment later, hold back from celebrating a victory. To behave that way is a failure of courage and imagination concerning the next steps.

No victory is final, except entrance into Heaven. A victory on earth points to the next battle. The troops—all of us—depend on morale, which is affected in part by whether those around us speak with wisdom and are pointed positively toward specific action, rather than pride or fear.

All predictable.

Obama has been an unmitigated disaster. A republican Congress has failed to deliver on it’s promises.

Hence, Trump and more tea party activists winning elections.
