Concerned Veterans for America (CVA)

Who ???
I think this is just a libbie front group...
The author is full of crap. Trumps plan is dead on to correct the VA plus help Vets. F these damn lib authors.
The Koch network created and funds Concerned Veterans for America

According to the search I just did on this group:
Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) is a 501(c)(4) non-profit which seems to be funded almost entirely by the Koch brothers donor network.

Seems to me, the Koch’s, and the Bushes seem to be on the same page at the moment.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t he the only who talking about trying to fix things for vets?
So if these guys don’t like this plan, does that mean they before the non existent plans that no one else in the GOP are discussing? /s
FORMER FLORIDA GOVERNOR JEB BUSH TO HEADLINE CVA ‘VETERANS AND MILITARY TOWN HALL’ FORUM IN COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA
This action and the comments from Concerned Veterans For America will get Pete NOWHERE but more time on FOX. I will say no more at this time, as I know Pete and very disappointed he would make such statements.
I despise pandering to all groups, including veterans. We served willingly and got paid for it, and except for those few who sustained truly debilitating wounds, none of us is owed a damned thing by anybody else. A sincere “thank you” is nice, but we didn’t serve for a lifetime of freebies. Abolish the Veterans Administration, for crying out loud! Semper Fidelis...
Concerned Veterans is bankrolled by the political network run by right-wing billionaire activists Charles and David Koch, according to an investigation by The Washington Post.

Is it possible that they haven't criticized the plans of the other candidates, because they have none?
"While Donald Trump rightly proposes more health care choices for veterans and long-overdue accountability for bad VA employees, his âplanâ is painfully thin on specifics about how he would implement those principles," CVA CEO Pete Hegseth said in the statement.
1. How come only Trump has to come up with very specific plans down to the molecule. Who else is coming up with molecular level plans? Why would a candidate be that specific BEFORE the general? Petie, hate to say this, you comments are a hit job. I lost a lot of respect for you. Shame.
2. Since the Vets are the major concern for the CVA, where the hell is the CVA’s detailed requirements needed to improve the VA?
3. The VA is a single payer system. SCRAP IT.
CVA is associated with the Koch’s, who are no fan of Trump.
For what it’s worth, here is the CV4A platform on VA healthcare...
“Giving Veterans Health Care Choice and Holding the VA Accountable
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is failing to accomplish its core mission of delivering timely and quality health care and benefits to our nation’s veterans. Hundreds of thousands of veterans are still stuck waiting months, and sometimes years, in the VA disability claims backlog- despite promises from the VA to end the backlog. Dozens, and possibly hundreds, of veterans were revealed to have died on secret VA wait lists at VA medical facilities across the country due to the misconduct of hundreds of senior VA officials. Even worse, all this and more occurred while the VA’s budget was massively increased and the department added over one hundred thousand employees.
Due to these failures at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the harm they cause veterans around the country, Concerned Veterans for America has made reforming and fixing the VA a top priority. Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) supports giving veterans more health care choices by putting them in charge of their own health care, instead of VA bureaucrats. To accomplish this, CVA convened a bipartisan policy taskforce called the Fixing Veterans Health Care Task Force which proposed a series of policy proposals, which was collectively titled the Veterans Independence Act. If implemented - which CVA will fight for - these reforms would give veterans true health care choice in addition to finally putting the veteran at the center of the VA health care system.
CVA has also advocated for streamlining the process to fire, demote, and punish VA employees who are poorly performing or who are guilty of misconduct. It can often take years to fire bad VA employees - including those who are found to have committed egregious acts of wrongdoing. This makes it harder to change the VA’s toxic culture and to ultimately reform the troubled department. Although Congress and President Obama gave the VA Secretary greater power to fire senior executives in 2014, that power has not been aggressively used and it is clear that more must be done to hold bad VA employees accountable.”
What I find interesting is that they seem to agree with Trumps position in general terms, yet for some reason took this opportunity to take a jab at him.
What I found.
They are currently pushing legislation in front of congress on this issue, and don’t want any ideas that will get in its way. The text of the current HR1994, already passed by their house, is completely consistent with Trump’s position.
I’m a member of both that VFW and American Legion, and I’ve never before heard of this group. Doesn’t mean they don’t do good things, but they are an unknown to me.
So I did a bit of research...
Neither the VFW nor the AL have endorsed their broader VA reform plan. Their plan calls for mass privatization of VA healthcare. They literally want to start from zero and build a new system from the ground up.
My biggest problem with their proposal is that they openly advocate tightening eligibility requirements. This sounds like it will be worse for veterans in the initial determination phase, not better. Determinations are a huge bottleneck, and a significant part of the current systems problems.
They are also bankrolled by the Koch brothers. Not an immediate disqualification, but it makes me want to look deeper. Follow the money is always a fun game.
As for Trump Bots:
I don’t consider myself one, but I want to make sure the truth and not media spin is discussed. Given the current climate when someone attacks a Pubbie, my first questions are ‘who are they?’ And ‘why are they taking the shot?’
As for veterans:
I am one, and it doesn’t mean I agree with every position of every vets organization. It’s not ‘attacking vets’ to disagree on principle, and being a vet affords me no special protection from criticism.
CVA is a GOP front group that on behalf of Jeb and the Republicans want Trump out of the race.
Fox News anchor Heather Nauert will be a “special guest” at an upcoming event for Concerned Veterans for America (CVA), a group that was “literally created” by the Koch brothers’ financial network. CVA is headed by Republicans, has spent millions trying to elect Republicans, and has been criticized for trafficking in “partisan attacks” despite “posing as a vet advocacy group.”

I think the problem is that the VA needs more money. What’s new?
REAL veterans groups have a low opinion of this CVA.

There must be some way to get these people to tell the truth...
Specifics??? How much specifics??? Trump has stated numerous times that if the VA won't see you in a timely manner, you are to go to the nearest public or private hospital and the VA will pick up the tab...
Is that specific enough???
As far as bad employees, he of course will wait til he has a staff and advisers in place to develop the policy to get rid of the bad employees...
