Donald Trump seems to want in on the escalating feud between Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R).
In an early-Sunday morning tweet-storm, a tactic that's become a hallmark of his campaign for president, Trump weighed in Rubio and Bush's relationship.
(Excerpt) Read more at businessinsider.com ...
tell that to your candidate, who is running an issues-free campaign of distraction.
Like any good Gardner Trump plants a seed, nourishes it, waters it, and watches it grow. Of course Bush is like a tomato plant, and Rubio is like those ugly green hornworms munching on it.
No fair! Everyone’s paying attention to Bush and Rubio! Pay attention to ME!!!!
I went to his feed to read what he had to say...
This was clearly a targeted and timed plan.
Rubio and Bush were on the morning shows.
He was, as he does often, driving the conversation even when he’s not on camera.
Remind people that Rubio was in the Gang of Eight, and that he is still pro-amnesty, and is backed by amnesty hacks, isn’t whining. That’s simply Trump making his case.
Making fun of Jebs new slogan isn’t anything that hasn’t been said here on FR. In fact, compared to many Freepers, he was downright kind.
Read through his actual Twitter feed, and not some BI analysis, and I think most will find this is much ado about nothing.
Also, I didn’t know 8 tweets were the quantity required to make a storm. I guess I learned something today.
You are so right on that one...
I just can’t get enough of the way Trump works his work...
100% Trump!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE OVAL OFFICE!!!
“...[Trump] is running an issues-free campaign”
He wants to build a wall on our border with Mexico. He wants to send back illegal aliens. He wants to end anchor babies and sanctuary cities. He wants end our trade imbalances with China, Japan, and Mexico. He wants to reduce the top tax rate to 25%. He wants to end corporate inversions and get 2 trillion plus dollars back into this country. But yeah, his campaign is issues free. To reiterate my first post to you, get serious.
Yes he did...don’t you just watching how he does things? Imagine what its going to be like when he’s President!!!!
WOOHOO TRUMP 2016!!!
Not everyone likes Tweeter or Face Book, I love both of them. I love to see what the people are saying about different things, gives me a gauge to work on....
He was commenting this morning on what they were saying on being interviewed, but I love his late night tweets....he is great!!!
And if he runs our government like that, look at the millions we are going to be saving...and the deals he can make, like jobs for Americans IN America, just as an example!!!
Neither you nor I have any idea what a President Trump would propose to Congress re expediting the return of some of those deported. He might not propose anything since on a case by case basis there is a procedure for quickly bringing in individuals that are a desired. The goal of any sane immigration policy is to allow in productive, intelligent honest immigrants (the good ones) and to keep the rest out (the bad ones). Seems to me that is exactly what Trump is saying he would try to do. First sent them all home and then maybe a few (the good ones) can come back under a yet to be determined procedure.
I’m not questioning Trump’s strong immigration stance, in the least, Leni.
You so beautifully explained the LEGAL immigrants who’ve come to this country (most of us likely have ancestors who did), and I don’t doubt for a second that Trump feels exactly the way WE ALL DO about LEGAL immigration vs ILLEGAL immigration.
In fact, I actually get a kick when Trump says....”and, they’ll come back LEGALLY”. He knows we have laws and he’s repeated said, we’re not a country, without (immigration) laws.
He also referred to Dwight Eisenhower’s deportation process, several times this past week (that I know of) and even explained further why that process wasn’t successful in the beginning...because the illegals weren’t returned far enough into Mexico.
Trump has studied our out-of-control immigration problem, has leaned on valuable experts like Sen Jeff Sessions to consult for his wonderful Immigration plan and will do what it takes to make sure laws...and new laws and prohibitive means will be instituted, to protect our country and the American worker.
He’s explained how Mexico will build the wall.
When he speaks of the talented ones, I get him to be saying that we’ve invested OUR money in their education, so why not reap the benefits of their talents....IF we CAN’T fill these high-level, high-tech or research jobs with qualified Americans. I’ve read posts from FReepers who’ve said that some states (MN maybe?) have a hard time filling some of these high-intelligence positions, for research, tech, etc. Even with $200K base salaries. I think those are the type of (legal) immigrants Trump has lauded.
It’s the entry-level STEM jobs, that the Silicon Valley companies are hiring like crazy, that Trump wants to get under control, via wages, etc....and, always, by putting the AMERICAN worker, first.
Trump can only say so much (remember, he likes to say he’s “unpredictable”...so the press can’t jump on and absolutely hammer his stances...like they have done to EVERY Pubbie candidate that I can recall). He’s playing to win and playing smart, imho.
Trump Immigration Plan highlights...
1. A nation without borders is not a nation. There must be a wall across the southern border.
2. A nation without laws is not a nation. Laws passed in accordance with our Constitutional system of government must be enforced.
3. A nation that does not serve its own citizens is not a nation. Any immigration plan must improve jobs, wages and security for all Americans.
Make Mexico Pay For The Wall
Defend the Laws of the Constitution and the United States
Triple Number of ICE Officers
Nationwide E-Verify
Mandatory return of all criminal aliens
Detention - not catch-and-release
Defund Sanctuary cities
Enhanced penalties for overstaying a visa
Cooperate with local gang task forces
End birthright citizenship
Put American workers FIRST
Decades of disastrous trade deals and immigration policies have destroyed our middle class. Today, nearly 40% of black teenagers are unemployed. Nearly 30% of Hispanic teenagers are unemployed. For black Americans without high school diplomas, the bottom has fallen out: more than 70% were employed in 1960, compared to less than 40% in 2000. Across the economy, the percentage of adults in the labor force has collapsed to a level not experienced in generations. As CBS news wrote in a piece entitled “America’s incredible shrinking middle class”: “If the middle-class is the economic backbone of America, then the country is developing osteoporosis.”
The influx of foreign workers holds down salaries, keeps unemployment high, and makes it difficult for poor and working class Americans - including immigrants themselves and their children â to earn a middle class wage. Nearly half of all immigrants and their US-born children currently live in or near poverty, including
more than 60 percent of Hispanic immigrants. Every year, we voluntarily admit another 2 million new immigrants, guest workers, refugees, and dependents, growing our existing all-time historic record population of 42 million
immigrants. We need to control the admission of new low-earning workers in order to: help wages grow, get teenagers back to work, aid minorities’ rise into the middle class, help schools and communities falling behind, and to ensure our immigrant members of the national family become part of the American dream.
Additionally, we need to stop giving legal immigrant visas to people bent on causing us harm. From the 9/11 hijackers, to the Boston Bombers, and many others, our immigration system is being used to attack us. The President of the immigration caseworkers union declared in a statement on ISIS: “We’ve become the visa clearinghouse for the world.”
Increase prevailing wage for H-1Bs.
We graduate two times more Americans with STEM degrees each year than find STEM jobs, yet as much as two-thirds of entry-level hiring for IT jobs is accomplished through the H-1B program. More than half of H-1B visas are issued for the program’s lowest allowable wage level, and more than eighty percent for its bottom two. Raising the prevailing wage paid to H-1Bs will force companies to give these coveted entry- level jobs to the existing domestic pool of unemployed native and immigrant workers in the U.S., instead of flying in cheaper workers from overseas. This will improve the number of black, Hispanic and female workers in Silicon Valley who have been passed over in favor of the H-1B program. Mark Zuckerberg’s personal Senator, Marco Rubio, has a bill to triple H-1Bs that would decimate women and minorities.
Requirement to hire American workers first.
End welfare abuse.
Jobs program for inner city youth.
Refugee program for American children. Increase standards for the admission of refugees and asylum-seekers to crack down on abuses. Use the monies saved on expensive refugee programs to help place American children without parents in safer homes and communities, and to improve community safety in high crime neighborhoods in the United States.
Immigration moderation. Before any new green cards are issued to foreign workers abroad, there will be a pause where employers will have to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed immigrant and native workers. This will help reverse women’s plummeting workplace participation rate, grow wages, and allow record immigration levels to subside to more moderate historical averages.

Was it really The Donald or an intern?
:)
his plan is invariably to have a plan at some undefined point in the future. his foreign policy and military advisers are “the shows”. one day he will have a team of “top people”.
it’s your candidate that isn’t serious.
Once again, you ignore my response, and move onto something else. You initially stated that Trump was running an issues-free campaign. When I responded by showing that that was untrue, by listing half a dozen issues on which he has taken clear positions, you change the subject.
Great summary!
On a few occasions, Trump has explained that those returning after being deported would have to obtain a work visa, or “other paperwork” (his words). So this means illegals get a free ride out, but not a free ride back.
Next, I believe his motivation for “expediting” the process has to do with the reality of how long it actually takes to immigrate here legally. If there truly ends up being a mass exodus of essential workers, he is thinking ahead to what would need to be done to preserve the economy.
In the case of Cruz, he has only stated that after the border is secured there would need to be a “conversation” (his word) about what to do with current illegal residents. I have no idea whether that means he is for amnesty or just leaving his options open. I do know that the other major candidates (Rubio, Bush, Carson, Fiorina) are all for in-place amnesty which is why my short list is already down to Trump and Cruz.
God, you trumpbots certainly don’t let reality ruin your delusion, do you? those weren’t issues, they were half lucid ramblings, most of which are impossible, the rest of which he contradicted later — or they were contradictions of previous ramblings themselves.
Donald J. Trump â@realDonaldTrump
While in politics it is often smart to send out false messages, one thing is clear: That Hillary does not want to run against TRUMP.
Ok. So am I to GUESS which of his messages are “false”??
Twitter is great to follow multiple news agencies at once and get local, national and international news. Even local weather events get posted asap if you put in the proper keyword. I retweet news but have no interest in interacting with others for debate there. I have often been able to tweet things to Trump that are relevant.
Just goes to show Trump will be unconventional to win. Dignified = politically correct. Our enemies will pay attention (those internal as well)
Besides, he’s communicating with the public without the filter if the MSM and for free. It’s brilliant! Could he be less inflammatory? Yes, but it wouldn’t get the response he wants, would it?
