Dr. Ben Carson, the rising African-American Republican star who is considering a run for the presidency, endorsed a nutritional supplement made by a firm embroiled in controversy, including claims that it's a pyramid scheme selling 'scam' products.
The revelation will damage Carson's standing as a moral crusader who aims to put an unassailable face on the GOP's anti-Obamacare health policies and could tank his future political plans.
Mannatech, a multi-level marketing sales company that sells weight-loss products, skin creams and so-called 'nutraceuticals.' Carson began his relationship with the firm in 2004, speaking at its annual sales conference, and gave repeat performances in 2011 and 2013.
His business manager Armstrong Williams told National Review Online that 'the decision that has been made' that Carson's won't publicly address his relationship with the company, and insisted the appearances were arranged by an outside speaker's bureau that currently charges more than $40,000 per speech for his services.

As more gets out on CARSON, he will fade away.
I don’t think this is what will set Ben off into the sunset. His overall performance tonight was enough. He’s not ready to be President.

A real hero would go to court to get them to take away our homes and property to build a casino.
Trump is a smart businessmen, if he had to buy those properties from the owners he might have had to pay 1% or 2% of the casino profits for the property.
But he got them for peanuts.

If you watch the video, he is definitely endorsing them. This is more than a paid speech.
Did he do something wrong here? Maybe not criminal, but I wasn’t expecting him to be endorsing a company that got into trouble in 2007 for false claims and deceptive practices. He even endorsed them in the debate by saying he still uses their products.

This amounts to nothing.
He's as ready as the long legged Mack Daddy. I think Odunga is somewhat more ideological. Carson's just building his stack.
I’ll give him a pass on this...nearly every politician in the world gives speeches for something or other. How would he know it was going to go south? It’s like holding obama accountble for speaking at solayndra...

Ben Carson promoting vitamins is way more serious (bad) than those minor things.
Carson is being pumped up so he can be deflated.
