A frightening showing at the box office this weekend featured five disappointmentsincluding two of the biggest flops in history.
Steve Jobs, The Last Witch Hunter, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, Rock the Kasbah and Jem and the Holograms all fell short, with only Witch Hunter cracking $10 million. Kasbah and Jem now rank among the worst openings of all time, and Paranormal missed expectations after weeks of anticipation over its divisive distribution strategy.
Instead, holdovers The Martian and Goosebumps came in first and second place, respectively. The Martian grossed an estimated $15.9 million in the U.S. and Canada, bringing the space dramas total to $166 million.

Not a subscriber, so can’t read the whole article.
How is “Truth” doing?
What about the Rather-gate movie?
I’m surprised the Steve Jobs movie is a flop. Where are all the Apple fanboys?
I saw the Martian and thought it was pretty good, and I really liked the Intern. Haven’t seen any of these mentioned in this article.
How many Steve Jobs flops will they make before they stop trying?
Wait until 12/18
Are any of the actors in those movies conservative types? I know I will never watch Steve Jobs because of actor in it.
Me and the wife went to the 3D version of the Martian.
33 bucks. No popcorn.
I think this is the season they release their weak or oddball movies before the holiday season.
Domestic Total as of Oct. 25, 2015: $204,119
Much cheaper to see it on Netflix or some other service. And you don't have to put up with feral yoots yelling, people spilling popcorn and soda on you and disgusting, overcrowded rest rooms.
Being curious about “Truth” myself, I looked it up:

Bad reviews as well.
12/18? Star Wars release?................I’ve not seen a Star Wars movie since the original on in 1977. I was outraged at the opening sequence,”A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....................’’
I knew it was going to be portrayed like a fairy tale and I was right............................
These days I only go to movies if they are a group event kind of movie like a Star Wars release or a Marvel movie or any movie that is made to be seen on a big screen. Human interest or comedy movies I just don’t think are worth the expense when they will be on Cable or Netflix in a short time.
I certainly won't wait in line for it. I'll see it when I can walk right in.
When the endless ads for the Jobs movie were on TV, I kept wondering who wanted to see another movie about a self absorbed geek wanna be. Now I know - no one.
The Kasbah movie MIGHT have been a hit about ten years after we were out of Afghanistan, and been successful, but not now.
