Rubio gives up on Senate: ‘He hates it’
The Washington Post ^ | October 25, 2015 | David A. Fahrenthold

Marco Rubio is a U.S. senator. And he just can’t stand it anymore.

“I don’t know that ‘hate’ is the right word,” Rubio said in an interview. “I’m frustrated.”

This year, as Rubio runs for president, he has cast the Senate — the very place that cemented him as a national politician — as a place he’s given up on, after less than one term. It’s too slow. Too rule-bound. So Rubio, 42, has decided not to run for his seat again. It’s the White House or bust.

“That’s why I’m missing votes. Because I am leaving the Senate. I am not running for reelection,” Rubio said in the last Republican debate, after Donald Trump had mocked him for his unusual number of absences during Senate votes.

Wow, this revelation makes me wonder if this is the same reason that Graham, Paul and Cruz want out of the Senate too. While I don’t excuse Rubio from doing his job, I can perfectly understand his frustration. We’re ALL frustrated in one way or another.

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Close, but don't forget that collection of Czars, cabinet members and staffers at the White House.

Usually running for re-election is an excuse used for missing votes. NOT running is a novel excuse AFAIK.

He didnt say hate...this is what he said “I don’t know that ‘hate’ is the right word,” Rubio said in an interview. “I’m frustrated.”

I saw the interview and Rubio is 100% correct.

If it’s too “rule bound” you would think he might have gone along with Cruz and Lee and tried to change-—or break the rules. This guy gets more unlike able by the day.

Way to represent your constituents and the people who voted for you, Rube.

And Sarah Palin was called a quitter?

Defeating fake Republican Charlie Crist and then aligning with Chuck Schumer is not the best way to establish conservative bona fides.

So, if he decides he hates the presidency, does he pout his way out the remainder of that term, too?

If you work to get a job, and get hired to do the job, then you’re honor bound to do the job until your time is up.

Sarah Palin was lambasted for leaving her governorship early due to a law in Alaska that allowed anyone to sue her personally at any time. It was bankrupting her.

At least she had the decency to resign and let someone else take over.

Rubio is apparently throwing a tantrum and blocking anyone else from filling the slot simply because he ‘doesn’t like it’. Well, waaaaaah.

What are the Florida candidates drinking?

Well Mr. Rubio...not that you had my vote for President, but now you have certainly lost any chance at it.

What ya’ gonna do when you are a frustrated President?

Give up?
