Carly Fiorina is the one Jeb fears most (Team Jeb sending oppo research on FioRINO to reporters)
Washington Examiner ^ | 9/28/15 | RYAN LOVELACE

Posted on 09/28/2015 12:05:59 PM PDT by jimbo123

Jeb Bush's presidential campaign has publicly attacked Donald Trump, but it has privately targeted Carly Fiorina.

April Ponnuru, a top policy adviser to Florida's former governor, sent an email received by the Washington Examiner that highlights Fiorina's past support for healthcare mandates akin to Obamacare's controversial individual mandate.

"As recently as 2013, Carly Fiorina supported Obamacare's most hated feature: the individual mandate," Ponnuru wrote. "She spoke out for making Americans buy insurance policies that meet the specifications of Washington, D.C., or pay a fine to the federal government."

Her email included a hyperlink to a video of Fiorina and she added, "Note that this video is from 2013, which means she supported this policy even after conservatives went to the Supreme Court to challenge the constitutionality of Obamacare's individual mandate."

Sarah Isgur Flores, Fiorina's deputy campagin manager, responded swiftly by saying the Bush campaign's criticism was "typical for someone entrenched in the professional political class."

"They attack outsiders because Washington is a giant corrupt bureaucracy and the powers that be don't want it changed," Flores said in a statement. "So they do what they know — politics as usual, talk about problems that they never intend to fix, tear down outsiders by scaring voters into thinking an outsider can't do this job. They're scared because voters are starting to see that Carly can win this job and do this job. They know she is a leader that will challenge the status quo and take back our government for our citizens."

Ponnuru chose not to comment on-the-record to the Examiner, but Bush campaign communications director Tim Miller said the campaign is only preoccupied with Bush.

Bush is mad at FioRINO because she's trying to steal his Right To Rise Super PAC dollars. Grab some popcorn!

Yeb! is supported by the Chamber of Crony Capitalists.

As the WSJ reported Saturday, the Cronies’ political priorities for the last year were:

1) Amnesty for lawbreakers so labor supply would crush Americans’ incomes (this has worked perfectly)
2) Corporate Tax Cuts (I actually don’t mind...)
3) Suckling at the Federal Teat for FREE MONEY from the taxpayers (see: Export / Import Bank).

They bought Boner to ensure they crushed Americans’ incomes with illegal labor and take home pay with taxes from waitresses for Executives’ yachts.

B*stards.

She is stealing his supporters.

I propose that we hold the fire on iCarly until Jeb is out of the race.

That will happen sooner than most expect.

If Jeb's genius consultants take out Carly and mad as hell voters are only going to vote for an outsider, what's the downside?

Jeb might get more PAC money, but he won't get more love from about 80% of Republican voters.

It’s not a matter of fearing Carly more—it’s a matter of Jeb first needing to survive as the RINO candidate to go up against, well, presumably, Trump.

They’re trying to fob Carly and Carson off as conservatives deserving of skimming off Trump’s vote, but that’s clearly not who Carly and Carson are. They are both moderates—and Jeb has to be the surviving moderate before he can have any hope of the nomination.

Carly has the political outsider thing going, but needs big PAC money, just as much as Ellis. So, she will succumb to PAC pressure, sooner or later.

The only short circuit is Trump, if he can keep it together.

Jeb shows that he is just another hopelessly conventional career politician.

It’s plain as day that the Rove assassination machine is out to get Carly. I’m not expressing an opinion on her, I’m just observing that the tactics of dirtbags leave a trail of, well....dirt.

I don’t see why the Yeb camp should worry about Fiona one bit. Her record is atrocious. She couldn’t even beat Boxer.

The Joyful Tortoise should worry about the real threat to his candidacy.

Great to see our enemies fighting with each other. That way the Donald can sit back and pick up the disgruntled supporters of the loser.

I find her utterly repellent.

That said, she is a more appealing candidate than ¿Yeb?

Bush team, as do some others, are betting on Trump self destructing and in their minds its time to take out Fiorina. They also expect Carson to be “Not the one”.

Team Bush is made up of yes men and followers just drawing a paycheck....the payroll must be huge.

I’d say both Bush and Trump fear her the most. We don’t have any Bush supporters on FR, but we have a steady stream of anti-Fiorina articles as she does better in the polls, which I assume represent the efforts of the Trump campaign.

Rubio is actually doing better than she is in the polls, so theoretically they should be attacking Rubio, but she’s probably more conservative fiscally and is considered more of a threat because she’s extremely well-spoken and appears to have the maturity to be president (Rubio looks young).
