Those two are easy to dismiss. Others who should withdraw will likely take more convincing. On the basis of today’s polling, Lindsay Graham is facing ultra-long odds. (A prominent London bookmaker places his chance of winning the nomination at 66 to 1, only slightly worse than John McCain, who isn’t running). A recent survey of GOP primary voters in his home state of South Carolina showed that 78 percent think Graham should drop out of the race – and that’s his power base.

So he gets the usual Senate retirement package: stay in until the corpse starts to smell.

Good job.
If you can get it.

Dear Lord how I hate open primaries.

The locals need to stretch a few necks.
Figuratively speaking of course.

His support is so minuscule, does it really matter.

I imagine his voters would be so split up it might not make a difference.

But then, open primary as I have learned.

If Linda ever listened to the voters, he wouldn't be in this sad state.

linda's ego has a loud voice with a direct connection to his ear.

How much time to you have to wait?

If it's like Illinois' primary day, you walk into the polling place on election day and they ask you, "which ballot, Rep. or dem."

I don’t have to wait, the people of SC, now that is a different story. Florida has had closed primaries for as long as I can remember.

Gilmore did not even manage to get a seat at the “kid’s table” for the next round of debates.

South Carolina hates Lindsey. He has won the same way Jeb is trying to win—by diluting the field with shill candidates and essentially disenfranchising the GOP base. Lindsey is great buds with Dick Harpootlian.

But Florida has not had the thumb of the North on her - and full pressure - since that disagreement in the 1860's.

Still, word has reached us here in the boonies that Florida has had different kinds of election problems in the past. Just hearsay?

——Governor Bobby Jindal, currently polling below 1 percent, and Rick Santorum, who is buried in the polls——

the question becomes are Bobby and Rick actually in the race. Having been ignored, in reality they have become CINO’s

Pataki and Graham are also CINO’s

that means there are actually only 12 candidates remaining

Advice to Graham: get out while you can with your dignity intact.

A little late for that , I think.

...but the one I really want out NOW is Bush!

Bush could be snatched by an alien spaceship on live TV and the MSM would still continue pushing him as the "only viable candidate".

Don’t know Harpootlian from shinola, but if he’s a FOG (friend of graham) he must be a real sleaze bag.

Maybe some SC good ole boy needs to pay Graham a visit and sell him the Harry Reid Retirement Plan.
If it worked for Dirty Harry it could work for Lisping Lindsey.
O be still my beating heart!

Anyone who doubts that the RNC and other GOPe powers that be haven't stacked this primary with candidates designed to split the base and deliver a victory to Jebbie just needs to look at the candidacy of Jim Gilmore, former Governor of VA. Why in the world is he in the race? He's polling at near 0%, he's spent $0, has 0 staff and no campaign whatsoever. But, if the race is still competitive when the VA primary comes around he might be able to pull enough votes from the rest of the pygmies to keep Jebbie's 25% safe. He's a former RNC Chair who's more than happy to play the game.

If Jebbie was polling about 25-30%, with 14 or 15 opponents who divided the balance of the votes he'd walk away with the nomination. But nobody factored in Donald Trump. I love seeing their game blow up in their faces. It worked for them in 2008 and 2012...but not this time!

ut the one I really want out NOW is Bush!

Super RINO Jebibie will be the last to go. With GOP(e) money and backing, watch for dirty tricks against Trump and Cruz to broker the convention in his favor.

Dear Lord how I hate open primaries.

we have open primaries because the RNC and GOPe want open primaries. There primary utility is in diluting the conservative vote. They spit in the face of their base election after election to get the candidate THEY want. Do you think the base would have nominated Bob Dole, John McCain or Mitt Romney? Or George W Bush in 2000 for that matter?
