Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is hoping that a blistering takedown of Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump will help lift his struggling campaign out from the bottom of the crowded 2016 field.
Jindal called Trump "unstable," "a narcissist," "unserious," and "a carnival act" during remarks at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Thursday.
"I want to say what everyone is thinking about Donald Trump but is afraid to say," Jindal said before ripping into Trump.
"He is shallow, there is no substance. He doesn't know anything about policy, he has no idea what he is talking about. He makes it up on the fly," Jindal said.
Along with the speech, Jindal's campaign released two web videos mocking Trump. One is a mashup of all the things Trump has said he loves throughout the campaign, ending with an "Anchorman" clip of absentminded weatherman Brick Tamland saying "I love lamp." The other compares Trump's promises of winning to actor Charlie Sheen during the notoriously outrageous interviews the actor did in 2011.

Cruz is my guy, but I’d be happy with Trump.
As it stands right now, Paul, Santorum, Perry, Jindal, and Graham aren’t going to make next week’s debate.
Jindal is at .3% in the latest RCP polling average. This is a last, DESPERATE attempt to gain some press and polling, IMO. And to curry some favor with Establishment Repubs.
If he doesn’t make the stage next week, he’s likely DONE....
The same will likely apply to anyone else that doesn’t make it, as well.
I agree. I think we are both saying the same thing. You added that Trump would protect his real estate empire from incursion, but my point ws the other one, that politicians operate their own closed club, and Trump is not welcome.
Real Estate might be ‘how can I create the largest pool of qualified home-buyers and investors in America?’ (reverse Leftist policy) and so on.
I think the Uniparty’s opposite approach (create useless-eater dependents who vote Uniparty instinctively) has been on Trump’s radar for some years, and Cruz and friends have shown him how to dismantle the Uniparty. Just surprised Jindal kept his cover so long, and blew it himself.
My apologies (except for the born on date and “hero”).
I see you’re a Cruz fan.
There have been many excellent threads here making the case that one cannot be wholly for Cruz without 1) respecting Trump and recognizing they are much more alike than different, and 2) realizing Trump has a much better chance of winning.
He claims to be pro-Cruz, but if he really were, he’d know that Cruz is the candidate that I support. I guess he’s pro-something else.
Sorry, somehow I couldn’t make the leap from “media’s god-king Hussein” to “Terri Schiavos murderer.”
I guess I forgot the two Bushes...
Dad is married to an abortion advocate
Son is married to a homosexual advocate
Or is it the other way round? Either way, were they the kind of leaders you wanted? Bush Jr. wanted open borders and now this is what we have. AZ is overrun with illegals. There is about 75 miles of the state that the Federal Government says is too dangerous to enter...it doesn’t belong to the US any more. Well, thanks, GWB.
This is not about electing a pastor...it is about making the country safe for the Gospel to go out. Trump will do so. Go Donnie.
Bobby Jindal didn’t do himself any favors. With his poll numbers he should be talking policies and ideas. If I were Trump I would just say Jindal isn’t worth responding to as he will be out of the race anyday.
That's BS from several points of view. First, the politicians aren't qualified either. They follow the lead of their handlers and the unelected support staff that run the levers of power. Second, Trump knows his limits, and seeks advice and qualified advisers.
Well said. I’m too young to remember when Jimmy Carter was elected but I’ve been told that he promoted himself as a Christian & “Godly”. We all know how that turned out. At least Trump is honest about his beliefs.
Thanks, my other posts on this thread gave the context.
One doesn’t need preternatural abilities. Eyes and ears suffice.
And, the last time America held her head high when was RR had beaten back and dis-empowered the Uniparty back in the 80s.
But it has to be done thoroughly this time, with International support of dealing a fatal blow to the Uniparty Bureaucrats who have taken over since the Clintons started plugging them in world-wide, and W, a Unipartier hisself, added to the problem. In retrospect, he burdened TX with way too much bureaucrats while he was .gov, gave hispanics huge advantages over we natives.
Both were COWARDS when it came to saving the life of a human being they each claimed to support.
Jindal is telling it like it is.
"Unstable" tends to mean "crazy" and that could be why Jindal used that word.
If you think of "unstable" as "inconstant" or "unreliable" or "unpredictable" or "erratic" or "impulsive" it does sort of fit some of Trump's behavior, but "crazy" or "insane" -- not so much.
Suddenly Carson, Fiorina and Jindal all at once go after Trump instead of the Iran deal and the horrific plant to import Syrian "refugees" to the U.S. No wonder some believe Jeb and the GOP establishment behind it.
ONLY somebody UNSTABLE would say Donald Trump is NOT a Narcissist...
He is proud of it.. BRAGS about it..
