The recent movement to scrub the American South of Confederate flags and names, which many view as pro-slavery symbols, has a new celebrity supporter: Julianne Moore.
The Academy Award-winning actress has teamed with movie producer Bruce Cohen in launching an online petition to change the name of J.E.B. Stuart High School in Falls Church, Virginia, arguing that the name represents a "history of racism."

You don't have to be an admirer of Stuart or the Confederacy to recognize this for what it is: a program to erase America's history. They start with easy targets with minimal resistance (icons of the American South), they'll end with our Founding Fathers, or perhaps with all pre-1960's US history. For instance, there's now a push to replace Andrew Jackson and/or Alexander Hamilton on $20 and $10 dollar bills with some feminist icon. Once the memory of American history and western culture is erased, the left will have a blank slate on which to write its own multicultural narrative of politically correct pseudo-history.
I’ve said it before, if we are going to go down this path, let’s go all the way. Remove the name of every single Dixiecrat Democrat politician from every single road, building or other structure that they are on. Wipe out the history of the Democratic Party, pre-1960 from every single public structure.

Even the Soviet Union didn't go as far in trying to erase Pre-Communist history and culture in Russia as the PC Left has done (or is trying to do) in the US. The closest parallel that I can think of is the Cultural Revolution in China, where all pre-revolutionary Chinese culture was declared "reactionary" by Mao, or perhaps Pol Pot in Cambodia.

Why does the press always publish what these stupidest segment of our society think. They should just randomly ask real Americans what they think and lean away from asking NYC, Chicago, or California they are lop-sidedly blue.
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
