Were still over five months from the Iowa caucuses and astoundingly its increasingly looking like the 2016 presidential election, not just the nomination, is Donald Trumps to lose.
Its not only the polls, which are swinging his way. He has changed the nature of our electoral politics into a reality show with himself as star. Read his interview in Wednesdays Hollywood Reporter if youre looking for confirmation. Everybody else in both parties looks boring by comparison. We pretend to be interested in the others but Donald is all we really care about, even bourgeois liberal critics when they try to dismiss him. (The WaPos David Ignatius is now likening Trump to Putin, as if Donald were about to invade the Crimea. Well, he might put a hotel there.)

Ok, who has the graphic af the bare chested Trump on horseback?
I think the pic of the bald eagle sitting on his arm works well.
Perhaps, but they said the same thing of Andrew Jackson’s voters and of William Harrison’s voters and of Teddy Roosevelt’s voters. Every time in American history there has been a major electoral change in which the elites get bounced, accusations are hurled against the voters that they are “just stupid.”
In reality Obama turned the office into a manifestation of today’s Kardashian zeitgeist. The ESPN tourney bracket show, slow jamming the news, the selfie stick video. This is where we are as a society.
That's an improvement! The electorate has been so mis-served by the "press" our elections were nothing but beauty pageants, anyway.
Considering who we have had in the WH for the past 6 1/2 years, I’d say voters can be stupid. That applies, of course, only to liberals.
That may be true but electing more of it is going to do little more than continue the downward spiral of America.
If Trump is smart, over the weekend he uses the Dow - 800+ points to his advantage.
What is Trump’s position on same sex marriage?
Affirmative action?
Socialized medicine (not Obamacare)?
If he’s for any of the above, he’s not a conservative.
I'm going to offer a different view here: The voters in fact knew what they were doing, or WHAT THEY WANTED TO DO, when they put in Zero. They wanted to make a giant statement that "No, we're not racist. See? We'll elect a black man." And they completely ignored his Marxist doctrines, because to them it wasn't about his policies, it was only about his skin.
I think you can prove that with polls about almost every one of his policies, about the direction of the country, but few voters want to attach that to ZEro for the reasons mentioned above. That's why he continues to get away with it.
I think---hope---that they will view this election as a way to say, "OK, whew, we did that. Now let's get back to things that matter."
Got one for ya.
The Donald could win NY.
1-Union support because he’s against the disastrous trade deals.
2-Big Money support, because he’s a New York business man.
3-Populous & 2nd Amendment support for Upstate.
4-Working/Married women, not baby killing leftists.
5-Young Republicans and other Millenials are sick to death of Obambi.
Leaving off the socialist west coast, if he can hold his own with NYC ethnics and Catholics, we could have another Landslide. More along the lines of Red/White&Blue Rockefeller type than a Communist Fighting Reagan.
NY is more a Labor Union state than a Liberal voting state. Sometimes they diverge.
Remember - Nixon carried NY 58% with the Hardhats and Teamsters. Only the Progressive 5 Boroughs went Mcky G. ( from “Wikipedia”)
Lemme get this straight:
The Dow minus 800 plus points?
Trump is running for the Republican nomination for President. The others are auditioning for the Vice Presidency and Cabinet positions in a Trump administration (even if they don’t realize it yet).
So, those are the only 3 things you consider a conservative point of view? I’m against same-sex marriage, as is Donald. But, just what are we going to do about it at this point in time? The floodgates have been opened - we lost the battle, but not the war. Look how long it has taken for PP to come to light and for states to start defunding that organization. Abortion was legalized by the SC in 1973, and not one - not ONE president has been able to do a thing about that ruling. Not even the great Ronald Reagan, who used to be pro-choice himself. Our country is in deep trouble, financially, spiritually and every other way - and these are the 3 issues you hang your hat on?
Same with Reagan.
Wow, I didn’t know you held the definition of conservative in a holy ark somewhere in your basement.
Is this close enough?
You know what I meant. Watch the news and attack the enemy, not me.
