First, an admission: I have seriously underestimated Donald Trump.
After spending more than three years tracking the construct of the GOPe strategy to elect Jeb Bush, and having lost the most single important battle in May 2014 to stop it, I was deflated and disenfranchised.
Few were willing to accept the road-map and sheer level of Machiavellian strategy deployed by the professional political class. Every single prediction (tripwire) which stems from understanding the construct was triggered in the exact sequence. We resigned ourselves to the outlook that Tom Donohue, Mitch McConnell and their team were going to pull it off.
Then the wild-card entered the race. Yesterday, before the speech in New Hampshire last night, Donald Trump gave a press conference. The part that matters comes after the 15:00 minute mark. Please watch before continuing:
(VIDEO-AT-LINK)
Now, I believe Trump knows the roadmap. Now I believe Trump knows the construct of the GOPe McDonnell/Donohue scheme.
When Trump speaks of the GOP and Citizens United he is putting sunlight upon something almost NO-ONE was, or is, paying attention to.
If you look back closely at the history of the last few election cycles you will see what Trump is fully aware of, and what few have EVER paid attention to....

It is hard to understand the ineffectiveness across the board of the Republicans constitutional power to conduct hearings ever since they took over the House. I assumed the fix was put in by John Boehner and later by Mitch McConnell from Speaker to Committee Chairman.
Now you are suggesting that there is more than mere passive approval of the IRS unlawful discrimination against the Tea Party, you are suggesting active participation of the Republican establishment operating through super pacs.
Even communication on the subject would evidently be illegal. Do we have evidence or do we simply have a potential conflict of interest of the kind that we see every day with the Clintons?
Very few.
Besides I wasn’t speaking of supporters, but of Trump himself.
I wanted the poster to give me an answer based on his rhetorical declaration.
I said nothing about either candidate’s supporters.
Ok in your response to what was a very civil question, that at the end I even said it could be done, but I wanted to see what your answer was, you have;
Called me Jeb, (bythe way, my handle is rikkir), called me a defeatist, Called me an asshat, called ma an amateur, called me a woman, called me a “naysayer”, and called me a loser.
Anyone who can’t respond to a question without that string of insults, is not worthy of further debate, but in the hopes of getting a little knowledge through your vitriol, I will try one more time. Please read, and try to understand.
If you need smaller words, let me know.
1) No where did I say it couldn’t be done. At the end of the post, I said the opposite.
2)You got part of the answer (between name calling) about using strong leadership, but then you drive right back off the cliff with your Dim (Dem?) like leadership of the GOPe.
You fail to consider that It’s not just the leadership,
Most of them could give less of a crap what Trump thinks, what you think, or what I think. Since 2014 they have shown who their true masters are, why are they going to change their tune for Trump, when they have been ripping Cruz, Sessions, and Lee to shreds for 2 years, for presenting the very same issues, and fighting this fight?
There’s nothing defeatist about this question, it IS reality.
If you bothered to look at anything I have posted you would see;
1 supported Trump’s actions early on, but have always supported Cruz as my first choice. That’s never changed.
I did pull away from Trump for a while, because with his past, I didn’t fully trust he is what he said.
On that subject, show me proof that Trump was saying any of this 10 years ago, or even 4 years ago. You can’t because it just ain’t so. Even the most ardent Trump supporters admit this. They take his recent “epiphany” at face value, and I am coming around on this especially after finding out he was working with Sessions on his immigration policy.
This is still a Presidential Primary, and there is some truth that as far as any PUBLIC statements by either man, this is a contest between Cruz, and Trump. They are running for the same position. I however did NOT assert that in my question to you. I listed what another poster said.
I think they have an ace up their sleeve, but I don’t necessarily think it involves a Cruz VP slot. Beyond that, I’m not going any further with that speculation.
By the way, C Edmund Wright, (who is a columnist, and author of a very good book about what a completely clueless loser Karl Rove is) and I were not attacking anyone, we asked you to explain the details of an assumption you are making.
Comparing Trump to Reagan is only valid if you say they were both able to overcome the media.
Two completely different approaches to the problem, and Trump has not won 1 election yet, and Reagan won with 2 of the biggest landslides in history. Trump may prove to be like Reagan in the future, but right now I see no such comparison, except they were both Democrats at one time.
Now for my final response to your brilliant and thought filled response to my question.
I got your “loser” swinging.
You’re gonna take off your “gentle gloves”? BWahahaha.
Your father smelled of elderberries, and your Mother was a hamster. Come back again and I will taunt you a second time, silly english kniggit.
I fart in your general direction!
If you can’t respond to a poster without personal attacks, and threats, you don’t belong on this forum.
It’s one of our bedrock principles.
Got an idea how hes going to do this? Some one else asked how Cruz would do this, considering Congress and the Media hate him. The very same thing can be said about Trump. Trumps release on Immigration was very good today. Jeff Sessions and Ted Cruz have been saying this stuff for 2 years. Explain to us great unwashed how Trump is going to perform these miracles of legislation without congress, without the media, and with a bunch of Judges out there ready to eat his lunch. He and Cruz have a play up their sleeve, but if you truly believe Trump can accomplish anything by Calling people who disagree with him stupid, Firing Congress because they wont follow his wishes, doing the same to Judges, what makes him any different than the little Tin Pot Dictator in the WH now.
Besides the three methods I just mentioned, please explain to us ignorant Cruz supporters how Trump turns America back into the Shining City on the Hill, all by himself.
Before the rest of the Trump supporters jump in please let this one gain some common sense, and not just spew insane rhetoric. I think theres a way it can be done, but I want Free_Will to explain his premise.
Jumping up and down (figuratively) and yelling "He's gonna changes things because he wants to" is insane rhetoric. Insane (repeating the same nonsensical statement twice, and expecting a different outcome) Rhetoric (making an audacious statement with no proof of fact). I've known many intelligent people who spout "insane rhetoric". How is this an insult again?
I asked you for an explanation, you responded by calling me names.
I don't know what Mr. Wright has said or not said to you, I only know he and I have posted several times, and his posts to me have been thoughtful, and intelligent. Your 2 responses to him sounded a lot like your willing to accept the same unconstitutional antics that Obama has pulled.
Mr. Wright doesn't like Trump, and I'm on the fence about him. Present a reasoned, powerful explanation on how Trump accomplishes any of his policy proposals, with the dripping contempt for him, Cruz, Sessions, Lee, and other solid Conservatives by the GOPe, Congressional Democrats, the media, and what will amount to about 45% of the electorate. How does he deal with a Supreme Court that has abandoned the Constitution as the Rule of Law. Voter anger doesn't fly either. We've been angry at the GOPe for over 8 years, as evidenced by Trump's poll numbers, We we're just as angry in 2014. Look where that's gotten us.
One final thing.
Keep threatening me. Last post it was take your gloves off, this time you're gonna smack me?
Anytime anywhere pal.
I doubt there is any evidence. As in science, association may not be causation. It is more than curious.
You are a better man than I.
Carly Fiorina on Climate change: It is real and manmade. But government has limited ability to address it. Speaking in New Hampshire in February, Fiorina said there is scientific consensus that climate change is real and caused by humans.
Carly Fiorina on Education: Supports Common Core Set national standards but give local districts maximum control. No Child Left Behind was positive. In a position paperwhile running for the U.S. Senate in California, Fiorina strongly advocated for metric-based accountability in schools. She praised No Child Left Behind as setting high standards and Race to the Top for using internationally-benchmarked measures.
Looks like Carly's stand on these issues is identical, or close enough, to Yeb's opinions, thus Carly should be taking votes from Yeb and Rubio, rather than any conservative candidate.
This is how it makes sense for Cruz and/or Trump to want Carly to stay in the race.
