Trump Gives a Glimpse of the Golden Arrow Targeted Toward McConnell/Donohue’s Achilles Heel...
Conservative Treehouse ^ | August 15, 2015 | Sundance

First, an admission: I have seriously underestimated Donald Trump.

After spending more than three years tracking the construct of the GOPe strategy to elect Jeb Bush, and having lost the most single important battle in May 2014 to stop it, I was deflated and disenfranchised.

Few were willing to accept the road-map and sheer level of Machiavellian strategy deployed by the professional political class. Every single prediction (tripwire) which stems from understanding the construct was triggered in the exact sequence. We resigned ourselves to the outlook that Tom Donohue, Mitch McConnell and their team were going to pull it off.

Then the wild-card entered the race. Yesterday, before the speech in New Hampshire last night, Donald Trump gave a press conference. The part that matters comes after the 15:00 minute mark. Please watch before continuing:

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

Now, I believe Trump knows the roadmap. Now I believe Trump knows the construct of the GOPe McDonnell/Donohue scheme.

When Trump speaks of the GOP and Citizens United he is putting sunlight upon something almost NO-ONE was, or is, paying attention to.

If you look back closely at the history of the last few election cycles you will see what Trump is fully aware of, and what few have EVER paid attention to....

I believe he makes a good case for how the GOP-e insures that the McConnell-Boehner axis is able to manipulate the system to produce Establishment desired outcomes.

They have a problem. Trump cant be bought and they know it. He is running a populist campaign and they dont like it. He will use, at last accounts, 1 billion of his own money, they cant match it.

It is..all about money.

The GOP will have a brokered convention. At that time, Trump will simply go in and tell them he will write them a nice little check if they nominate him, and they, the GOPe, will fold.

Its all about money. Sick really.

Trump is inside the OODA Loop of the GOPe, the MSM and the dims 24/7 and there is nothing they can do about it.

I can’t refute any of this analysis. How else did we end up with Romney? How else have we returned majorities in the House twice, the Senate once, with no effect different than if the Progressives had won? Like birth control unleashing the marital act from its attachment to procreation, Citizens United unleashes the “candidate” from his otherwise needed supporters, allowing money brokers to direct the campaign. And the money brokers are plugged to the status quo, of course!

Thanks SDV.... There has been no falter, no stumble, no detour. He is a man with a plan. And now we know why. This is right down Cruz’ alley. They are forming a fine team indeed!!

Without Super-PAC’s the campaigns of Jim Gilmore, George Pataki, Lindsey Graham, Mike Huckabee, Rick Perry, John Kasich, Carly Fiorina, Rick Santorum and Chris Christie cannot exist. If those candidates had to rely on financial support from the electorate, they could never be in the race. They are only in the race to split votes and support Jeb Bush.

This essential and key element is what Donald Trump is now highlighting. But will the electorate see it? Will the media report on it?

Take away the Wall Street funded GOPe Super-PAC’s and their entire strategy to nominate Jeb Bush falls apart. This is McConnell and Donohue’s ‘Achilles heel‘.

Any campaign that has to rely on electoral support, actual or financial, will fail. That means the GOPe, to achieve their goal, have to construct campaigns that don’t rely on electoral support.

People have asked me how do we defeat the GOPe road map. Well, there’s your answer.

Drive home the message that candidates are not supported by people, but are in fact supported by Wall Street. Explain how Citizens United was a loss for our side. Wake up the base to the reality of what is going on.

Once the sunlight comes upon the Super-PAC’s, and the real intent of their candidacy is exposed via embarrassment; meaning, once a candidate has to actually be accountable for the support they don’t have, they will drop out.

“Nutty” is a completely subjective pejorative. It is not analytical. This is precisely the attack used against Palin.

Analyzing Trump objectively produces an astounding result. He is, by any standard, a self made man, his inheritance notwithstanding. He is a global player with vast high quality real estate holdings. He is a major employer globally. He is a virtually unstoppable battle ship.

Note, especially, the use of “loose cannon” character assassination against every constitutional patriot. It means independent and outside the control of the establishment.
Can he be trusted? That is the open question we must answer.

"Can he [Trump] be trusted?"

I don't know, but Trump is his own man and my take is that right now, do we have any other option (except face defeat)?

The article recommends jumping to 15:00 of the press conference, but (after maybe viewing that part) I think it's worth going back to watch the whole piece.

The author might have acknowledged that he

Seriously underestimated Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz is fighting the establishment at a lot more personal risk than Donald Trump risks.

I endorse entirely the thesis of the article that Citizens United decision has resulted in a perversion of our electoral process. I do not accept that the only alternative is Donald Trump. Ted Cruz will do very nicely.

The author believes that Ted Cruz is compromised.

Ted Cruz Value Voters Summit

TED CRUZ – A super PAC aiming to help Texas Sen. Ted Cruz win the Republican presidential nomination raised from a single donor nearly as much as the candidate’s formal campaign raised in three months.

A $10 million donation from Toby Neugebauer is the largest contribution so far to any of the candidate-specific super PACs. Neugebauer is an energy investor in Texas and the son of GOP Rep. Randy Neugebauer. The money went to Keep the Promise II, one of several similarly named super PACs all working to help elect Cruz.

The Wilks family in Texas pooled together for a $15 million gift to a second pro-Cruz super PAC. Brothers Farris and Dan Wilks made billionaire lists by getting into the booming shale gas industry.  (link)

A super PAC supporting former tech executive Carly Fiorina’s run reported raising $3.5 million — with a half-million dollar lift from a super PAC supporting GOP presidential rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.).

The pro-Cruz PAC, Keep the Promise I, reported the disbursement Friday in a document filed with the Federal Election Commission. That is…unusual, to say the least. (link)

fiorina 1

Wait, Ted Cruz gave money to Carly Fiorina.

Huh, funny that.

Maybe we should be looking a little closer at Carly.  She’s so good, even her competing candidates want to keep her in the race.

carly fiorina

Carly Fiorina on Immigration: Pass the DREAM Act. For other undocumented immigrants, a direct path to citizenship is unfair.  While running for the U.S. Senate in California in 2010, Fiorina said she supports the DREAM Act, which would give legal status to people who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

Carly Fiorina on Climate change: It is real and manmade. But government has limited ability to address it.  Speaking in New Hampshire in February, Fiorina said there is scientific consensus that climate change is real and caused by humans.

Carly Fiorina on Education: Supports Common Core – Set national standards but give local districts maximum control. No Child Left Behind was positive.  In a position paperwhile running for the U.S. Senate in California, Fiorina strongly advocated for metric-based accountability in schools. She praised No Child Left Behind as setting high standards and Race to the Top for using internationally-benchmarked measures.

She, along with Jeb, seem to remind people their state can always “opt out”.  Yet they always seem to skip the whole part about national standard being tied to the federal funding allocation.  Meaning education funding blackmail – “Opt out, and you don’t get the funds”… but you can always “opt out”.

…”Nice school you got there, it’d be a shame if anything happened to it”….

Wait, Carly (who said Mitt Romney talked her into running) Fiorina, supports Man-Made Global Warming, Common Core -AND- the Dream Act, and Ted Cruz is giving her money?  Oh well, they must just be great friends n’ stuff – meh.

I stand with @megynkelly. — Carly Fiorina (@CarlyFiorina) August 8, 2015

Trump is not against giving money, but rather SECRETLY giving money and that is 100% right. I don't think Citizens United was a loss for our side, it was just incomplete. There should be open reporting of every dollar.

The real downside of that is that in the case of a contriversial issue---was it Prop 9 in CA that upheld traditional marriage?---once word gets out who put up money they can come under tremendous pressure. I know people in the film industry who opposed homosexual marriage and suffered serious repercussions. One person at 20th Cent Fox said co workers wouldn't hardly talk with him/her when the info was leaked by homosexual groups.
