Maybe its because he is still feeling his way as a late entrant into the GOP presidential campaign, but Ohio Gov. John Kasich did a fairly dramatic about-face over the weekend on the politically charged issue of climate change.
Kasich, a devout Christian, declared during the two-hour debate sponsored by Fox News that climate change is a real problem requiring government and society to protect the creation that the Lord has given us.
While the vast majority of Republicans on Capitol Hill and the campaign trail are highly skeptical of President Obamas campaign to curb industrial carbon emissions to prevent the disastrous long term effects of global warming on the environment and economy, Kasich appeared to be one of the few who took the threat seriously.
He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation, saying at one point that weve got to unite our country again, because were stronger when we are united and we are weaker when we are divided.
Just a few days later, though, after winning plaudits for his Thursday night performance with some even favorably comparing his views on environmental threats to those of Pope Francis Kasich sounded much like a climate-change doubter.

Kasich will say anything he thinks will get him elected.
He must've just found out primary voters are more conservative than the general electorate.
Whatever is politically expedient at the moment.
Typical milquetoast Republican.
When you have no core philosophy, or life long guiding principles, you can be whatever you want to be on any given day.
The “devout Christian” should read his Bible, because it prophecies the earth will be like a used up garment in the end. That doesn’t mean we should trash the place of course, but it does mean this earth is not going to last forever. It’s already scheduled for demolition, and no government can save it.
Hebrews 1:10-12 ESV
And, You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.
...as a primary challenger.
Medicaid expansion and now Climate Change.
A Kasich presidency would be Obama’s third term.
He is a “devout Christian” like Jimmy Carter.
What the hell happened to Kasich....his new mantra is ‘any big government is good as long as God calls for it, and he’s been speaking to me a lot’.
Where are all the anti-religion zealots who complain every time a politician elicits God or Jesus in their beliefs. Suddenly quiet.
I used to be a Kasich fan until he voted for the assault weapons ban. Now I just don’t trust Johnny.
Kasich has realized to “take the stand of the week”, as all politicians that are afraid of their political mortality do.
Pass a universal carbon tax
God will be happy

Bub-bye, Kasich. The only good thing that came out of the Megyn Debates is the field is quickly getting smaller.
His proudest accomplishment (think Mitty) is that he was recently re-elected as Ohio governor with lots of democRATS voting for him ... (but in reality his competition Ed FitzGerald was a complete loser)
Kaisch is for amnesty. All anyone needs to know.
Anyone for amnesty is not for the USA. Amnesty and the importing of immigrants from enemy and 3rd World countries is a sure way to destroy our country - and those who promote this know it unless they are delusional.
