Trump-LePage ticket for new political party
centralmaine.com ^ | July 1

Posted on 07/14/2015 4:21:46 AM PDT by ObamahatesPACoal

I propose the formation of a new political party to end the partisanship in Maine. It could be called the Bash Brothers Party, with Donald Trump as its candidate for president, and Paul LePage for vice president.

If Trump and LePage campaign nationally for the next 18 months, then they will be out of the state for long stretches of time.

Was Perot ever leading the nomination? This is just another tactic by the establishment to bash Trump. This is Apples and Oranges.

Pray America is waking

Trump isn’t going to be the nominee, so this attempt to split the base more is offensive.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reform_Party_of_the_United_States_of_America

“The Reform Party of the United States of America (RPUSA), generally known as the Reform Party USA or the Reform Party, is a political party in the United States, founded in 1995 by Ross Perot. Perot said Americans were disillusioned with the state of politics—as being corrupt and unable to deal with vital issues—and desired a viable alternative to the Republican and Democratic parties. The party had nominated several notable candidates over the years, such as founder Ross Perot, Pat Buchanan, and Ralph Nader.

The party’s most significant victory came when Jesse Ventura was elected governor of Minnesota in 1998....

The Reform Party’s presidential candidate for the 2000 election was due federal matching funds of $12.5 million, based on Perot’s 8% showing in 1996. Early on, there was a failed effort to draft Ron Paul.

Donald Trump entered the race briefly, giving television interviews outlining his platform. Trump was progressive on social issues, and supported allowing openly gay soldiers in the military, saying: “it would not disturb me.” Trump considered himself a conservative, but criticized Pat Buchanan, saying: “I’m on the conservative side, but Buchanan is Attila the Hun.” He withdrew from the race citing the party’s infighting, as did Jesse Ventura and the Minnesota Reform Party.........”

That’s what you find offensive? The gope is NEVER going to support anyone that threatens to come in and destroy the cozy little arrangement they have going with the left, or the CoC. Look what they did to Palin, and now Trump. They will lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want.

If Bush is the nominee, Hillary will win anyway. Why not crush the Republican Party if we have the chance?

Yes. Your attempt to rip up what’s left is offensive. I get it. You hate them all.

I will work to build up the conservative vote (and encourage ones who have managed to get elected and send them more support), not talk about this buffoon Trump in a manner designed to divide the vote against LIBERALS.

My assessment of his value to me is not bashing him. Nor is my not going to vote for him bashing him. I’ve never gone the tack of some here that bash everything he’s done.

He has a value to me as long as it stays that which I see now. To depart on a campaign to do otherwise I’m not for.

That’s about all I can say on it. Personal opinion and very targeted in scope.

I know the gope has always gotten away with their tricks by the same old “scare them with a liberal line” It has stopped working. They are all liberals. You sound like you are taking some kind of high road, and then call names like a child. So far, the only one in this race that has spoken out about the dead bodies of Americans piling up at the hands of illegals is DT. He has also called out the illegals about all the rapes. But, to you, that is buffoonery.

A 3rd party candidacy will ensure a Hillary victory. So no.

First, I know nothing about this lepage, lehpage, leppage, leppish guy.

I do see the inference that this leppish guy must be wished to leave whatever state he is in. (Sounds like my gov, Jindal.)

I would rather suggest a Trump/Fiorina ticket.

Remember, to run for President, you must have a Vice President.

I think I’d prefer if LePage figured out the pocket veto before he ended up one heartbeat away.

Go look at trumps policy statements over the last 20 years. He is worse than bush.

For the record, I am voting for Walker in the primary.

Whoever the GOP nominates, I will vote for in the general.

Simple as that.

Bullsh!t.

We don't need a 3rd party. What we need is a 2nd Party - which we don't have any more. We need to crush the Washingtonians and the political consultant class in the GOPe and take it over in 2016.

A "third Party" is a sure recipe for defeat because the American public simply won't vote in large enough numbers for a "new" Party. It's a terrible indictment on the intelligence of many American voters, but there it is.

In the meantime, the Uniparty is flooding the zone with massive numbers of illegals and outright fraud. The clock is running out and we have our backs to the goal line on the one yard line with our enemies in "both" Parties having first and goal to go...
