The reducing of income disparity takes its roots in socialist/ communist ideology, while profit sharing is a capitalist concept. Can a capitalist economic concept help lead to a reduction in income disparity via profit sharing? No, absolutely not. Profit sharing by way of being more productive is uniquely tied to an individual's abilities. If you have only been able to produce a certain amount of income, profit sharing will not reduce anyone's income disparity. Sure, they'll get in on the national 'profit sharing" but they'll only end up with the same amount of income as percentage of profit sharing as function of their abilities, education, status, ambition and will not see any reduction in disparity say, between themselves as a school bus driver and a lawyer.
