Natalie Lopez summoned the courage to show up. This was several months ago in front of the Chaska City Council.
Lopez, a hard-working mother of a preschool child, did not want to be there. She's an undocumented immigrant. In the minds of some individuals in this state and nation, her ilk is as much a pariah of society as, say, violent sex offenders.
"What part of illegal don't you understand?" is the slogan with these folks. When I hear this, I'm reminded of a poster of an American Indian siding with this view and then imploring all who broke numerous treaties and came from immigrant stock to pack their bags and book one-way fares back to their ancestors' motherland.
No human is an illegal. If some of us choose to tag humans on the basis of lawbreaking, then we should also apply it to tax cheats, adulterers, highway speed violators and such. But we don't.

And how's that working out for CA ?
Uh, she didn’t have to be there, she chose to illegally sneak into my country.
How about enforce our immigration laws and deport, for “safety’s sake”.
Coincidence?
Well Ruben, that's because you're a stupid s**thead libtard.
By your own admission, not giving them licenses doesn't stop them from driving anyway, because they don't give a crap about the law.

Illegal IMMIGRANT. What are we talking about here, Ruben? Immigration! Are you slow, Ruben?
There, fixed it.
Licensing drivers has nothing to do with safety. Drivers don’t get in crashes because they don’t know how to drive safely, they get in crashes because they choose not to.
Isn’t that the truth, if this disingenuous person is really concerned about safety. But somehow I doubt that. If you showed them the crime statistics, especially things like drunk-driving and hit-and-run, they’d just wave them away.
+1
Uh-huh.
And this land mass wasn’t a “country” before Europeans settled here.
Pioneer Press. I think that was the ‘right-wing extremist’ newspaper when I lived in Minnesota. The other one was worse.
No it doesn't.
The motor voter law only says that drivers who are eligible to vote may register to vote. States already issue driver licenses to former convicts and legal resident aliens. The motor voter act does not apply to them if they are ineligible in their district to vote.
——No human is an illegal-—
drivelous moonbat balderdash.
any human that has violated the American boundaries is an illegal, an alien, thus illegal alien
the fact can’t be altered by disillusion and totally untrue rhetoric
Illegal aliens are not immigrants.
Immigrants apply to be Americans and comply with our laws.
They are not undocumented, they are fraudulently documented in order to continue their illegal presence in our country.
The Ministry Of Propaganda tries very hard to twist reality to shape opinions.
More vile BS from the Invaders.
Ask him if he thought his forebearer Santa Anna believed in illegal immigration.
Considering that Santa Anna murdered hundreds at Goliad and the Alamo, don’t think he’d agree.
So this is just seditionist propaganda designed to delegitimize the American nation.
What an azzhat. American tax cheats, adulterers, speeders, etc. belong here, illegal aliens do not. If Ruben really believes that lame “no human is illegal” garbage perhaps he should try sneaking into Mexico and see how that reasoning works out for him there.
How about enforce our immigration laws and deport, for safetys sake.
...
Hear, hear.
Why do I keep thinking: ‘dog collar and tag’ when I hear ‘license the undocumented’?
That is so demeaning and racist!
(When did ‘invaders’ become a race, anyhow?)
I hate myself (a teeny tiny little bit) and feel like I must be a bad person.
