We live in a constitutional republic in which our elected officials are bound by the constraints of the Constitution, which means they don't have a license to do whatever they please, even if they think it would be best for the country.
That President Barack Obama so flagrantly violates this enshrined legal principle and much of his Democratic Party supports him in doing so is why so many other people are outraged and, at times, fear for their country.
Under past presidents in my lifetime (I was born after FDR), Republican and Democratic, we have not had to live in fear that the party controlling the executive branch would become a law unto itself. Mockers will cite President Richard Nixon's transgressions, but they don't register a blip on the radar compared with the colossal abuses of power this president and his party routinely engage in.
Many of us — and I'm not talking about the type inclined toward conspiracy theories, which I most definitely am not — truly wonder what these people will do next. How will they act outside the scope of their constitutional authority to take action they claim will be beneficial? It doesn't matter if their planned actions will be beneficial. Illegal actions are not permitted, even if for ostensibly benign purposes, lest we descend into tyranny and lose our liberties.
Leftists, who own and control the Democratic Party, subscribe to the axiom that the ends justify the means, so it is hardly surprising that they are so casual about the limitations on government institutionally imposed by the Constitution. They believe — and daily demonstrate, in general terms — that if a policy is desirable, they will find a way to implement it, irrespective of whether they have the constitutional authority to do so....

It disturbs our side of the isle. The other side wants him to do more. The True Believers think Obama is more Conservative than Reagan.

Under Obama the Executive Branch has become unaccountable. They have not only torn up the laws, but refuse to answer to Congress..and the Congress is us..we the people. We have an Attorney General who has been held in contempt, but left unaccountable. We had a Secy of State who has refused to give her correspondence to Congress. We have IRS Employees taking the Fifth.
But the worst thing is we have a Congress that has not upheld their oath of office. They should be impeaching..even is they know the Senate will not convict..they should be shutting down funding and the govt. They should have jailed the AG and the IRS employee for contempt until they complied.
We need to punish all these people at the next election...only conservatives..true conservatives will get my vote...and I will only contribute to individual conservatives. I will actively work to defeat McCain.
What should disturb Americans more is the complicity of the Republicans they elected to stop Obama.
Anything that is mind numbingly addictive and is a distraction.

The problem is not Obama, the problem is the Republicans in Congress who won’t stand up to him.
Morality doesn't hinder them but fear does.
They aren't offended by the Clintons, they watch in awe and admiration.

Lawless Obama isn’t the real problem imo. If state lawmakers hadn’t ratified the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, foolishly giving up the voices of state lawmakers in Congress by doing so, then the Senate would probably have removed a House-impeached Obama from office by now.
The 17th Amendment needs to disappear.
