President Barack Obama says his successor in the White House will not call into question the executive branchs power to cut deals between the United States and other countries, such as the nuclear framework reached last week with Iran.
I am confident that any president who gets elected will be knowledgeable enough about foreign policy and knowledgeable enough about the traditions and precedents of presidential power that they wont start calling to question the capacity of the executive branch of the United States to enter into agreements with other countries, Obama said in an interview with NPRs Morning Edition set to air Tuesday.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who has expressed interest in running for the Republican nomination, has said that he would cancel the deal on Jan. 20, 2017, his first day in office.
Questioning the presidents power to negotiate agreements would harm Americas relationship with allies and embolden enemies, Obama said, adding that the Republican governor should take some time to catch up on foreign policy.
And it would be a foolish approach to take, and, you know, perhaps Mr. Walker, after hes taken some time to bone up on foreign policy, will feel the same way, Obama told NPRs Steve Inskeep.

In an interview with NPR's Morning Edition host Steve Inskeep, President Obama said Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker
is advocating a "foolish approach" to Iran and that he should "bone up on foreign policy." - Mito Habe-Evans/NPR
The pResident has just legitimized Scott Walker. Hillary! is pi$$ed as is Jeb the Dauphin.
What an EVIL, VILE little GAY MUSLIM he is.
An interview with NPR? Wow, he’s really getting outside of his echo chamber (snark)
Unions were able to build Americas middle class by demanding higher wages, benefits, worker protection and ensuring a safe work environment, Obama said. So its inexcusable that, over the past several years, just when middle-class families and workers need that kind of security the most, theres been a sustained, coordinated assault on unions, led by powerful interests and their allies in government, he said....."
When is he going to attack Ted Cruz? Now THAT would be fun. Cruz can mop the floor with him.
I had better stock up on popcorn.
Domestic vs. international/diplomatic. Elevated status.
Sometimes I read this kind of talk and I bet Obama cannot wait to shed the office. It is way to much work and sort of responsibility. The puppet master pulls his strings, but the poor guy still has to get up, tie his own shoes, well I doubt that, and spends the whole day reading the puppeteers teleprompter.
When he leaves the office he will just be an idol to be worshiped, like Clinton on steroids. I can’t wait to hear how he and Moochelle speak once they are free.
Unless they are prepping for a Moochie presidential run. After all, they have the whole place just the way they want it.
Be sure it has some Wisconsin butter on it.
: )
Interesting - Hussein can sit down and chat with the largest terrorist nation in the galaxy but still won’t negotiate with Republicans.
LOL
ROTFLOLOL.
What was that about boning foreigners, Baraq? I don't think Governor Walker is into that.
Barry needs to “bone up” (snicker) on CONSTITUTIONAL LAW!!!
Yup, both Obama and Politico are worried about Scott Walker.
I like that.
With a sudden turn of his head, The Won could slap you down with his satellite-dish ears.
BTW, speaking of Kenya, note that one of the terrorists muzzie slayers last week was a law school graduate and son of a government official....whom resembles that remark.
“Questioning the presidents power to negotiate agreements would harm Americas relationship with allies and embolden enemies”
Truly stunning statement coming from Obama.
The Executive branch has no such power, outside of what is provided by the advice and consent of the Legislative branch. His arrogance is showing again...
“What an EVIL, VILE little GAY MUSLIM he is.”
You are being much to kind to the sob!
