In a greeting to the Iranian people on the occasion of the traditional New Year (Nowruz) holiday last week, Secretary of State John Kerry exposed a secret that journalists and academics have been agonizing over for the past six weeks: the fact that his daughter has married an Iranian-American who has extensive family ties to Iran.
“I am proud of the Iranian-Americans in my own family, and grateful for how they have enriched my life,” Kerry said in the official statement. Kerry also said he was “strongly committed to resolving” the differences between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, “to the mutual benefit of both of our people.”
Politicians like to keep their families off-limits to the press, a decorum enforced vigorously when it comes to politicians who are in favor with the national media but ruthlessly discarded for others. But in Kerry’s case, there could be larger ramifications.
Since its inception, the FBI has vetted U.S. government officials involved in national security issues, and it generally won’t grant clearances to individuals who are married to nationals of an enemy nation or have family members living in that country, for fear of divided loyalties or, more simply, blackmail.

How many members of congress know about Kerry’s conflict of interest.

Flashback a couple of decades and assume that a young military reservist with zero political connections, has a top secret crypto clearance and is in the active reserves.
An American Uncle of this reservist’s wife, who disappeared over 4 decade, and was assumed dead, comes out of the woodwork and is still alive with another wife and family several hundred miles away. There is no history of treason or other crimes of the missing uncle in law.
Was this swept under the rug and forgotten?
No. A tense interview was held to ensure that there was no potential past, present and future problems.
How many members care?

Who was president at that time? Who was his AG, who was/is in charge of the FBI?

I despise Kerry and thing that he should have been thrown into jail with Jane Fonda, decades ago and still be there.
However, I have met and got to know many Iranians/Persians who fled Iran after the Islamic serial killers took over.
They are intelligent and are good Americans. They hate the current regime in Iran and what they stand for.
We don’t know about her husband. However, he does at least one strike against him. His wife is the daughter of a terrible person, John Kerry.

4. that provides aid and comfort to an enemy of the United States. “

This might at least partially explain why Obama/Jarrett keep Kerry, whose failure rate is 100%.
Of course, there is his history of being a traitor to the USA doesn’t hurt either

Of course, that’s also about 15-20 percent of the population...so there are additional benefits to this consideration.
My dentist of 32 years is a muslim from Pakistan, and I have no problem with him, but even though Kerry’s son-in-law is a brain surgeon here, I don’t have first hand knowledge of him or his ties, so I’ll reserve my judgement on him. In all likelihood, he’s probably more trustworthy than the father of the woman he’s married to, and could even be Catholic for all we know.
This Scum Kerry has always been a traitor and the FBI did nothing with his security clearance. He was active Naval Reserve when he went to Paris and negotiated with the Viet Cong. He lied his @ss off before J Willie Fulbright’s Senate committee, but he was not under oath.
