John Kitzhaber, the Democratic governor of Oregon was sworn into his fourth term of office just last month. But it seems highly unlikely he will be able to survive this month in office.
Last October, the Willamette Weekly newspaper published an exposé showing how the governor’s fiancé, Cylvia Hayes, was taking money as a private consultant to environment groups and then pushing their policies in her public role as “First Lady” of the state. Most infamously, she ordered state employees to follow a policy she was being paid $25,000 by an advocacy group to promote. Apparently, some of the money also wasn’t reported on tax returns.
Kitzhaber’s response to the scandal has been egregious. The Willamette Week reported that his “office last week requested state officials destroy thousands of records in the governor’s personal email accounts.”

Sites like Freerepublic are “the news” now, and many, many people get their news from such “alternative” sites. So simply keep spreading the word!!

I was astounded that Brian Williams had a 9m nightly audience.
Although somebody on here speculated a good percentage are in nursing homes.

Scott Walker should have simply said, “I am not here to discuss your faith in Evolution.”
I’ve heard that the wires wouldn’t touch the story because The Oregonian hadn’t. Now, the gloves are off.
How many are in airport waiting lounges where they don't have a choice?
Obama purports to learn everything from media sources, but media sources in fact get their material from Obama.

They remain very powerful. Their chief strategy is always saying the same thing the same way, repeating, hiding, obfuscating, and attacking. They are using their strategy here. Most stories don’t mention the guy is a Democrat.
That’s why they tell boldface lies about the economy improving. They don’t measure the cost of anything we truly buy and declare there is no inflation. All about creating a climate to elect the next Democrat. They are still very powerful, because idiots listen to them by the million.
Maybe I go to the wrong airports but all I see in the ones I frequent are CNN on the concourses and ESPN in the bars.
The national media is merely a propaganda machine. It has been that way for a couple of decades!
