More than 1,400 flights were already canceled in the greater New York City area Monday morning. Gov. Cuomo told commuters Sunday they should consider staying home in preparation for the storm that's set to dump up to 3 feet of snow on the city.

So, anyone in the tri-state area still up and running to report on the most hugest viscisosest storm ever in recorded history? (RECORDED!) Does algore have some sort of warming convention planned for the area today?

The only good thing about weather like this (I live in Konnecticut), is it becomes a “what if” exercise (had this been a real SHTF event, where would I be lacking....)

Liquid dihydrogen monoxide to change to frozen dihydrogen monoxide? That evil dihydrogen monoxide. Somebody ought to do something about it.

Gaseous dhmo changing directly to solid dhmo in crystalline form!
It’s Global Warming, I tell you!

Ah ha! A learning experience. Or as the lyin’ king would say, “A teachable moment.” If your forecasters are anything like the ones here, it’ll be sunny and sixty five when they’re calling for 8 feet of snow. Good luck. Hope you’re stocked up. (Make a list later on what you forgot)

I think they ought to dilute it with water :)
Jeez you'd think that every weather guesser should have figured out it is January and frozen dihydrogen monoxide particulation happens.

Got stuck in New Jersey for three (3!) days during the blizzard of '78.
People were using trash cans to dig out their cars at the Hilton where I was staying.
Luckily, I did not have a rental car to turn in at the airport.
Took the cardboard from one of my laundered shirts and wrote:
Minnesota Driver - Will drive you and your car car to the airport.
Had 5 offers in under 10 seconds.

I am curious as to how the alarmists are going to blame a huge winter snow storm on global warming. You just know they are going to try.

I’ve already turned off News 12 due to the idiotic, hectoring wail of an apparently extremely important person called Steve Ballone...or whoeverthehell. He is YELLING as if it is the final moments above the waves of Titanic.

Well obviously it’s the old “for every action there’s an equal and opposite reaction’ meme. Ergo, it was so friggin’ hot last summer that now we see the results compounded in this blizzard that’ll bury NYC. Just think how much the sea level is gonna rise when the start dumping all that plowed snow in the east river. Oh, the hugemanity!! Liblogic of course.

I am curious as to how the alarmists are going to blame a huge winter snow storm on global warming. You just know they are going to try.It is winter, ergo global warming is now "climate change" induced by a polar vortex caused by global warming and will be even worse in New England as the storm clouds will not be inflated at the proper PSI and people will not be able to get a grip.

I am curious as to how the alarmists are going to blame a huge winter snow storm on global warming. You just know they are going to try. Simple. They go on CNN, NBC, etc. and announce this this storm is the biggest/deadliest storm in the history of the universe and it's all because of Global Warming (and our failure to charge enough carbon taxes). Then they get some clown to say "all scientists agree".
Voila. All liberals swallow it hook, line and sinker.

I live in western Pennsylvania — too far away from the blizzard. We have about 3 or so inches of snow. You would think it's Armageddon, the way the local news is carrying on.
