Potential Democratic presidential candidates and the Hawkish Republican hopeful were fare better among the Jewish electorate in the State of New York, then the sort of moderate Republicans, according to new poll conducted by the Siena Research.
While in general, Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren on the Democratic side, and Chris Christie, Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush on the Republican side, are seen as the best choices for President, among Jewish voters, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are the most preferred candidates for president.
According to the poll, if the elections were to be held today, 51 percent of registered Jewish voters would vote for Hillary Clinton and 12% for Elizabeth Warren. On the Republican side, Ted Cruz would receive the vote of 34 percent, while Marco Rubio would pick up 27% and Mitt Romney 9%.
When it comes to favorability, though, NJ Governor Chris Christie is the most favorable presidential/national candidate after Vice President Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. Biden is seen as favorable by a 68/32 margin; Clinton by a 60/37; Chris Christie is seen as favorable by 50/45 of Jewish New Yorkers. The remaining Republican candidates are all more unfavorable than favorable, with Bush and Paul seen as unfavorable by a majority of 52 to 48 percent.
Bingo! We shall counter with spreading the word of ‘Cruz 2016’!!!!’ Who should his running mate be??? I know, I know.. it SHOULD be a woman, uggg.
interesting.....
Where did I say that?
” Now do you see why both the Democrats and Vichy Republicans are attacking Ted Cruz hammer & tong 24/7 on every issue? “
The Vichy Republicans will be the most sinister of the two.
The enemy inside your tent is always more dangerous than the one without.
That's a misleading statement.
They are talking about Republican Jewish voters who are a small pert of the Jewish vote..
The socialists (dems) can count on the overwhelmingly Jewish vote for president in 2016, as they have gotten in past presidential elections. - Tom
Overall they’re only 1% of the electorate. But if that small subset of a subset contributes money in any meaningful way to Cruz it’ll upend the Bush applecart. That’s where the fear comes from.
Indeed.
The same Jews who supposedly put hitlery in the Senate?
‘Can’t wait.
The Republicans will always get a small percentage of Jewish voters so I don't see any reason the Socialists (dems) would be concerned about a poll like this. - Tom
It’s not about the votes, per se. The Islamic vote is now larger than the Jewish vote. It’s about the fundraising and other, mostly intangible things that conservative and centrist Jews would bring to the campaign.
That’s like putting the ELCA, Catholics, Unitarians, Pentecostals and Baptists all in the same basket because “they’re all Christians” or some such.

Looks like the editor had a few too many drinks or hits on the bong before she let that one slip in.

That’s true, American Jews associate the Democrats with “peace”, “harmony”, “social justice”, “equality”, all the buzz-words they like.
It should be Susana Martinez from New Mexico or Marco Rubio from Florida.
Cruz, Cruz, Cruz! He’s about as close to a ‘Forefather’ as we could possibly get. As far as a running mate, I suppose a female choice is necessary is Hillary is going to run. That would help diffuse her feminist march somewhat. I still like Bachmann, although the media has pretty much wiped her out.
