A lawyer for the University of Virginia fraternity whose members were accused of a brutal gang rape said Friday that the organization will release a statement rebutting the claims printed in a Rolling Stone article about the incident. Several of the womans close friends and campus sex assault awareness advocates said that they also doubt the published account.
Officials close to the fraternity said that the statement will indicate that Phi Kappa Psi did not host a party on Sept. 28, 2012, the night that a university student named Jackie alleges she was invited to a date party, lured into an upstairs room and was then ambushed and gang-raped by seven men who were rushing the fraternity.

Thanks for the great summary.
.
Nice summary. It will be entertaining to see how RS executives respond to these and similar questions in court.
Will there be a libel suit to follow?
I’m a proud Phi Psi, can I get in on the class action suit?
Funny, they aren’t allowing comments. How very fair of them. /sarc
True.
It's simple. . . My girlfriend and I have come up with this proposed additional diagnosis for the next revision to the ICD-10, the set of medical diagnostic codes:
321.0 SPLAT Liberal Cerebral Defenestration (LCD) or Liberal Acquired Brain Absence (LABA), Complete loss of rationality, cognition, and cerebration due to indiscriminately keeping one's mind so far open that the brain falls out. First and subsequent encounters.
Everything about this played into the emotive thinking Liberals do, not the reasoning we conservatives utilize. It makes them feel good that they are emoting, releasing endorphins, as they cry over the poor victim.
They would be good customers for Romance Novels. . . the "Bodice Ripper" fare. That is what this fictional mess is.
Some kids don’t make the transition to college (away from home) very well either. My youngest was one of those. He dropped out after the first semester. He went to the local community college after that.
Other kids, who’ve been the cream of the crop in their HS classes, find that swimming in a larger pond means they aren’t the big fish anymore. Classes are harder than they thought they would be. How do you explain to mom and dad that you’re not a straight A student anymore?
I certainly think you have been tarred with the black brush of the claims in this story that Phi Kappa Psi fraternities have used some heinous crimes as part of their initiation procedures for years. . . and ergo you MUST have participated in some "felonious conduct" to become a member of this "criminal society." Ergo, you certainly have been libeled as a member of that fraternity by the implications of this story.
The most shocking part about this is that “Rolling Stone” is casting doubt upon the female’s story.
FYI
Nothing gets in the way of The Agenda, facts be damned.

Yep.
I dont think they are necessarily extraordinarily low.

There was a time when young women were raised to be respectful of themselves, to guard their virtue. These days, far too many of them place themselves in compromising situations. So many are bed-hoppers that it is difficult to tell the actual victims from the morning-after regret tramps who make false accusations.
The woman needs to be prosecuted and imprisoned if found guilty.

Not holding your breath on that one, I trust.
Good one! Yeah, the headline does imply that.
+1
I hope Rolling Stone is sue to no end for their recklessness. The sad part, they cannot take the damage back to those whose names were revealed. This is like the Duke Lacrosse North Carolina fake rape case; all done out of politics and division and move the extremist agenda. It only sets real issues of abuse even further back into getting to the truth of those situations because a person cannot begin to heal within until they can confront the crime of rape and the abuser. How RStone continues is only due to the sympathy / alliance of this media; who will not help to bring them down.
So what was wrong with the reporter and the RS editor(s) who let this pass?
(((
Blinded by the Agenda. It’s a very common affliction among progressives.
