WASHINGTON, D.C. A secret decision apparently has been made by the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and even Iran to let the strategic Syrian Kurdish town of Kobani on the Turkish-Syrian border fall to ISIS fighters, jeopardizing the lives of some 160,000 Syrian Kurds, WND has been told by a well-placed Middle East expert.
In letting Kobani fall to ISIS, the source said, there was agreement to deal with ISIS later.
The apparent decision aims to diminish the influence of the Kurds in Syria and weaken the prospect of creating a sovereign Kurdistan, which is sought by the Kurds not only in Syria, but in Turkey, Iran and Iraq..
It is a real set up behind the backs of everyone, the well-placed source told WND.
Ankara has brought its tanks up to the Turkish-Syrian border in sight of Kobani but has not committed any troops to stop the ISIS siege of the Kurdish city.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Kurds have been appealing for arms and ammunition in addition to aerial bombing by the U.S.-led coalition of Arab countries on ISIS positions. Sources on the ground, however, say the bombing has become virtually meaningless, since ISIS fighters have blended into the population, requiring more fighters on the ground.
The Syrian Kurds have been fighting ISIS just as their counterparts in Iraq, the Kurdish peshmerga, have been doing to keep ISIS from taking over their territory, which comprises some of the largest oil reserves in Iraq and Syria.

The real question is what will be the US position once ISIS achieves dominance and the caliphate?
Have to tell ya’...I am relieved at this...I was concerned that the administration was losing focus on the greatest problem in our time...Climate Change...
Just like Warsaw in WW2 when the soviets stopped and waited for the NAzis to clean out the city before coming in.
Bastards!
Kurdish memories are long. Add this treachery to the list of things we are leaving our kids to deal with..
The Kurds have a long history of remembering as their betrayals go back before 1500.
I don’t really worry about the domination thing.
What is happening is a realigning to Ottoman days along tribal lines disrupted and mis aligned by the Frogs and the Brits in 1918.
Yes, the ISIS fanatics are in the drivers seat and are now in the realignment process. Consider Egypt and how a little time and money solved the wacko problem. There will not be a world domination, mainstream Islam doesn’t want iti
So far as I am concerned, Obama is not really a player but finally acknowledged the way the wind was blowing out of Turkey and the Gulf. To get his name in the papers and act as if he is doing something, he was pushed into tagging along
Its like letting a cancer grow in hopes that it destroys a virus and then to fight the cancer afterwards. The corrupted minds produce illogic plans.
How is secret? It is happening in plain sight. Anyone who has a functioning medulla oblongata can see Obama doesnt give a damn about innocent people.
Because he views us as infidels.
“however, (some experts) say the bombing has become virtually meaningless, since ISIS fighters have blended into the population, requiring more fighters on the ground.”
I’m shocked, no one would have thought of that in the Affirmative Action White House. Oh, maybe that was the lesson, like in Gaza; WE DO NOT BOMB CIVILIANS and ISIS wins. Deliberate “Stupidity”? No wonder Obama scholastic records have never been provided.
Who remembers the Alamo anymore?
This is even worse than Neville Chamberlain selling out to Hitler.
The Kurds could be another mideast Israel-type state....friends of the U.S. and foes of extremist Islam.
I remember just a few short weeks ago there was a small demonstration of Kurds outside the UN building in NY. They were shouting pro-USA and Israel shouts of praise and thank you’s. Now this is what we do to them— the dastardly backstab?
The BAM team makes me want to puke and crap on their faces of iniquity. Pox on them.
I’d like to do more but to say so would get me banned from this site and into prison.
Dhimmitude.
didn’t Mexico steal the land from the natives too??
“Later” when it comes time to deal with ISIS, not much of anything will be done about the atrocities practiced upon the Kurds, who are almost as universally despised by the “conventional” Muslims, as Israel and the Jews.
Kurds are fierce fighters, even when poorly armed, and they come with a built-in attitude that makes them more than ready and willing to go into deadly combat with Islamic jihadist militants. The Turks have regarded the Kurds with a wary eye for centuries, as they are widely regarded as being politically unreliable, and with a strong clan and tribal identity, the Kurds return the mutual suspicion in full measure.
With this as part of the picture, an armed and ready Kurdistan makes a most excellent buffer state between the factions of Muslims (Sunni and Shia), and helps keep any encroachments from the Russian Federation or Turkey from interceding in the Syrian conflict.
Our objective, should we determine it is possible, would be to encourage the formation of the state of Kurdistan, and arm them to the teeth, at least as adequately as we do Egypt, and used to do for Israel.
But the Current Regime would regard this course as total anathema. Still playing checkers on the chess board.
Indeed. I always wonder why Hispanics and American leftists never complain about what the Spanish did to the "Native Americans."
You nailed it. Obama has been working steadily to establish the Greater Caliphate. He got rid of Qadaffi and installed the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt before the Egyptian military stepped in to save Egypt. Assad is an impediment to the Caliphate and Obama needs him gone.
