Source: Secret deal could doom 160,000 to ISIS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A secret decision apparently has been made by the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and even Iran to let the strategic Syrian Kurdish town of Kobani on the Turkish-Syrian border fall to ISIS fighters, jeopardizing the lives of some 160,000 Syrian Kurds, WND has been told by a well-placed Middle East expert.

In letting Kobani fall to ISIS, the source said, there was agreement “to deal with ISIS later.”

The apparent decision aims to diminish the influence of the Kurds in Syria and weaken the prospect of creating a sovereign Kurdistan, which is sought by the Kurds not only in Syria, but in Turkey, Iran and Iraq..

“It is a real set up behind the backs of everyone,” the well-placed source told WND.

Ankara has brought its tanks up to the Turkish-Syrian border in sight of Kobani but has not committed any troops to stop the ISIS siege of the Kurdish city.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Kurds have been appealing for arms and ammunition in addition to aerial bombing by the U.S.-led coalition of Arab countries on ISIS positions. Sources on the ground, however, say the bombing has become virtually meaningless, since ISIS fighters have blended into the population, requiring more fighters on the ground.

The Syrian Kurds have been fighting ISIS just as their counterparts in Iraq, the Kurdish peshmerga, have been doing to keep ISIS from taking over their territory, which comprises some of the largest oil reserves in Iraq and Syria.

John (Lurch) Kerry stated yesterday:

"Kobani, you have to step back and understand the strategic objective"

Yes, he acts for the O_tard. Who clearly still supports the Islamists.

Treachery at the highest level, over an oil play for Islamist Turkey.

Total Headshake.

Look, all they care about is getting rid of Assad so that the caliphate can be completed.

That is the “secret deal”.

The poor Kurds will get no help. Neither will the Christians.

How is secret? It is happening in plain sight. Anyone who has a functioning medulla oblongata can see Obama doesn’t give a damn about innocent people.

This is the foreign policy equivalent of telling the dying old lady to take a pain pill.

And the media applauds.

Shameful Indeed.

They know Obozo’s time is short and all his scheming players are acting quickly. Any other US Potus would end this.

This is very, very wrong. If there’s karmic retribution, I hope I don’t share in it.

Secret was not my choice of words.

Un-admitted would better fit.

The real question is what will be the US position once ISIS achieves dominance and the caliphate?

I see the Kurds as the valiant patriots defending their homeland.

They remind me of the Israelis of today and the Americans of long ago.

Islamic State’s ammunition shown to have origins in US and China

In its campaign across northern Syria and Iraq, the jihadist group Islamic State has been using ammunition from the United States and other countries that have been supporting the regional security forces fighting the group, according to new field data gathered by a private arms-tracking organization.

The data, part of a larger sample of captured arms and cartridges in Syria and Iraq, carries an implicit warning for policymakers and advocates of intervention.

It suggests that ammunition transferred into Syria and Iraq to help stabilize governments has instead passed from the governments to the jihadists, helping to fuel the Islamic State’s rise and persistent combat power. Rifle cartridges from the United States, the sample shows, have played a significant role.

“The lesson learned here is that the defence and security forces that have been supplied ammunition by external nations really don’t have the capacity to maintain custody of that ammunition,” said James Bevan, director of Conflict Armament Research, the organization that is gathering and analysing weapons used by the Islamic State.

Providing weapons to the regional proxies, Bevan added, is “a massive risk that is heightened by poorly motivated security forces that are facing great challenges.”

I’ve been reading related articles on other sites. Seems like both the Turks and the Saudis want ISIS to grow large enough to take out Assad and act as a check against Iran and Hezbollah. In turn, the Saudis will drive down the price of oil so that Russia suffers. None of these players like the Kurds, they will be be thrown to the ISIS wolves.
