Free Republic

Somewhat lengthy article goes on to interview a group of 23 year-olds about their opinions and attitudes. If they are typical, the country as we've known it is finished.

Even the ones with some Conservative leanings seem embarrassed to talk about them, thanks to their gubbermint education and ceaseless shaming through social media. "I'm not a Liberal. I'm very sorry! At least I'm not one of those EEEEEEVIL right-wingers!"

I was particularly incensed by the young Democrat hack who said he became a Dem because Republicans don't care about the poor.

And particularly struck by the young woman who says she has soured on the Dems because they lied to her about Obamacare (thought it would be free, I'm sure)

Once we pass on this Republic will be unrecognizable.

Maybe the Republic is dead, but don’t be so hard on the young. Most of us were similarly naive at that age. Then real life knocks.

I never see any elected Republican or the RNC attempting to educate today youth.

They are brainwashed by liberal educators at all levels, bombarded with liberal views that include mocking & condemnation by Hollywood in their TV shows and movies.

The incestuous relationship between network news executives and Obama 'advisors' insure nothing but liberal propaganda reaches their ears on the evening news.

Plus they are more ignorant than a box of rocks from what we see when asked even the simplest questions on current events or major historical events.

Take hope in the fact that most generations are liberal when they are still young and stupid, fresh from 4 or more years of liberal academic indoctrination. Many will grow out of it.

The millenials may steer us leftware but the country has already been moving left for many decades with the long and steady rise of big government. So previous generations have also played a role in moving us leftward IMO. The millenials are just continuing the long term trend.

But one thing worth noting in regard to this shift is the ever incrasing crushing national debt load. We are inexorably moving toward an unsustainable fiscal situation. As Margart Thatcher so aptly said “eventually you run out of other people’s money”. So I think liberalism will eventually collapse under its own weight. Government cannot expand indefinitely.

Two things:
1. Hide your cash.
2. They’re 23. A lot of conservatives felt the way they do when they were 23.

BTW, OF COURSE the country is finished. And it will happen before these kids can impact the government all that much.

See tagline...

Oh, I dunno. When I was 18, I was very liberal. When I was 23, I was more conservative, but still a complete dumba$$.

Paying taxes tends to sharpen one's political views. Having kids makes them sharper still.

By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as defined by the USG. Minorities vote more than two to one Democrat. Each cohort that turns 18 will be more Democrat than the previous one.

The Millennials reflect the changing demographics of this country fueled by immigration, legal and illegal, and minority birthrates. We are shifting to the Left and will continue to do so. Demography is destiny.

no one knows the future except God. i pray that the millenials are still mostly potential to the good but, it’s pretty clear that the powerful amongst us baby-boomers were main *instruments* that satanic power used, *and continues to use*, to destroy the country.

what corrupted us? well that’s a study in 20th century leftism.

The brain-washed and ill-educated Millenials will never amount to much. They will depend on others to support them. They can’t afford marriage and a family. Their life spans will be shorter, and that’s the bright side of their future.

Everytime I see one of them I say "Thank you". When they ask why, I say "You made sure I got my piece of the pie and you'll never get yours".

They mistake colbert, stewart and SNL skits as reality, are easily suckered by the dims and can't read cursive writing.

“I never see any elected Republican or the RNC attempting to educate today youth.”

Why would you think that any political party should be educating youth? The primary educator of youth is, or should be, the family. If we have liberal leaning youth it is because they have liberal parents, or failed conservative parents.

The other component of society’s education of all ages is evangelism. People holding foolish ideas can often be converted when presented with sensible ideas, over time, by the right people, in the right way. Share the truth. Converse with others.

I think the reason more young people vote liberal is that they don’t have any problems with social issues like gay marriage and legal abortion.

They’re just not opposed to liberal social issues. In fact they support those things.

I also think that’s why the GOP is trying to get social issues off the table.
