Maybe the Republic is dead, but don’t be so hard on the young. Most of us were similarly naive at that age. Then real life knocks.

Once they stop living at their parents home and their parents stop giving them money, they may change their naive tune.

We have never seen young people like this, for instance in 1972 with the Vietnam war, the draft, the demonstrations, the anti-war movement and so on, the democrats only got 46% of the under 30 vote.

For Obama, it was 66%.
