It's Sunday morning, and I'm reading the reports on the Malaysia Airline mass murder, and it's beyond depressing. Imagine if it were a son or a daughter, a sister or a brother, a mom or a dadrotting in that field. And surrounding that field are a band of mystery men, preventing recovery. And think to yourself, that these fellows are picking through your loved ones' thingsnot only destroying a crime scene but possibly helping themselves to whatevers around them.
Its revolting.
How does this world let this happen?
Because we let it happen.
Amidst the clamoring for action and demands for investigations, a sense of helplessness permeates such rage. Without America leading the charge, the world body is headless; it's simply a chicken squawking around the ghastly field of dismal realities. Downed planes, kidnapped girls, women stoned for adultery, 100 dead in Nigeria. S*** happens, to be sure. But we used to be the s***-kickers.

This is what happens when a good chunk of US Citizens stay home and don’t vote - I didn’t care for Romney either - but it’s 4 ys compared to the 8 that Barry holds office...
Good article, but it took me three tries to get through it because the site kept crashing.
This is what happens when the GOP is so corrupt we can’t get a conservative nominee. I voted for Etch A Sketch, but that’ll be the last time I vote for a GOP liberal.
yea.. exactly. we can’t impeach Barry because he’s black but we could have impeached Romney if he pulled these stunts..
And, what does Gutfield want us to do - invade the Ukraine with our myriad CSI teams?
You cut off the quotation before the best line: “We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.”
You BET! I'm sick that people thought "they'd show that old GOP"...... well, how's that working out for ya? When the rest of us are subjected to the results of stubborn idealism it's heartbreaking. No I didn't care for Romney OR McJuan, but either would have kept us from the "fundamental transformation" of our once great country.
Or...... the conservative movement is so riven with self righteousness it can’t agree to select a candidate with the ability to win
Until the GOPc can get it’s act together it will never prevail

Bingo. The people who were too stupid to see this in the first place are going to be too prideful to admit it now.
There is no cure for sanctimonious self righteousness
It is way to easy to pontificate loudly and blame the GOPe
Jeb Bush will be the nominee in 2016. Rick Perry will be second. We’ll fail to coalesce around him because “self-righteous” conservatives will remember him calling them “heartless”. They’ll have their pet candidate. There will even be people on FR (if FR is not censored) schilling for Paul Ryan. They’ll tell us what a genius he is (remember Newt Gingrich?). Chris Christie will drop our after Super Tuesday. Elisabeth Warren will be our next president which will be Valerie Jarret’s third term. We’ll have a civil war.
I am pretty sure the next president will either be Scott Walker or Rick Perry.
The Massachusetts Yankee witch will not be a real contender
I am going to be unpopular here.
The crash is none of our business. When people go into war zones they can expect bad things to happen.
Time to beef up US defenses and borders. Time to find neutrality, not isolationism.

In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful. - C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man
In Jamaica, a 'sleeping policeman' is a speed bump.................
From the beginning of the 2012 primaries there was a loud cry from folks like me. We told all who would listen that we would not vote for a northeast progressive. Many news articles appeared in old and new media warning that conservatives would not vote for the Damn Yankee.
Republican primary voters in blue states, often with democrat votes in open primaries, picked our designated loser. As predicted, Romney lost. Y'all were warned. We cannot beat progressives by voting for progressives.
And amazingly the Romney acolytes blame conservative voters for the loss, not the candidate or the party establishment.
That is so poignant. Whew.
