I wish it was raining for you, too! Houston got a nice hard one, too, according to a FReeper friend.
It was a lovely way to wake up from a nap...thunder and all! :)

"A beautiful blend of words and images. Thank you both!
Happy 4th of July!" The images are worth more than the words. Look it up.

Oh it’s great. It’s where I learned how to live in the forest and hunt. My folks were great teachers. The house is about two miles up a forest service road - dirt - I was home schooled there. Up there everyone carries. There are the four legged critters and the two legged ones. Makes for an interesting life ...LOL

I love it there. It’s where I’m headed when I leave Aussie-land. It was great fun here while it lasted but I got homesick every year that passed - needed the experience which I got but enough is enough.

I just played it! What a beautiful sound...dripping raindrops. Your yard?
Fortunately I have a VLC player that plays it. The video is mp4
Here’s a link to the free VLC player.

Between Windows Media Player and VLC I can play most things.

Good Evening, Kathy!
*HUGS*
The weather came during the afternoon - I was in the Office and did not hear it or mark it. I got my 40 hours in - left the Office at 1830 and had one of the fastest weekday evening commutes ever - almost broke 40 minutes.
Apparently we had a pretty good storm this afternoon, although I did not see it. I did observe a lot of strewn leaves and tree-branches in the road on my home.
A cold front approaches from the West - if it persists, Arthur will spin his wrath away out to sea in this latitude. If the front falters over the Appalachians, we will get smacked.
I've lived in this little corner of the World since 1956 - the weather prognosticators have never been able accurately to predict where the snow-rain line will be or what the course of a tropical storm traveling up the coast will be.
