Why would it need to defend it? We live in such a stupid time.

We weren’t allowed to wear shorts at all when I was in school.

Her daughter is not an object to be ogled, yet she is in favor of her daughter wearing clothes which will make her a center of attention for that. Does she not see the disconnect in her reasoning????

It worries me to see young girls dress too provocatively, because I don’t believe they have the years behind them to understand the dangers they face. If someone wants to dress provocatively as an adult, at least they know the dangers. These young girls are clueless.

Nothing new about dress codes, and this is a perfectly reasonable one.

“My daughter is not an object to be ogled.”

Come to school in bluejeans underwear, and dont act surprised when she is.

Stupid tramp mother. Does this kid have something that roughly resembles a dad?

I’ve been to Nova Scotia, there’s probably only 4 days a year these would be comfortable.

Why would parents argue.

They should be grateful.

HS and Jr High girls all like to wear the shorts. It’s more than a trend, it’s just what they wear.

“The worst possible thing you can tell a girl is not to wear shorts because she is a distraction.” Oh, please I can think of many worse things. For starters, your mother is an idiot.

My daughters school has a simple rule...shorts can’t be higher than her fingertips with hands held down at her sides...problem solved. This mother is a boob...

Thanks to BBell for this one!
I'll side with the school on this one.

One could certainly argue that certain types of clothing can reasonably be banned in public schools...and private schools too.
