Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman are undoubtedly on opposite sides of Americas political spectrum. But the conservative commentator and liberal economist came to a rare point of agreement on Sunday: regardless of his comments on race, Nevada rancher Cliven Bundys law-breaking stand against the federal government is inexcusable.
Kristol and Krugman appeared on ABCs This Week to discuss Cliven Bundys racially insensitive comments published earlier this week. Once seen as a right-wing folk hero for his stand against the Bureau of Land Managements push to reclaim grazing fees he owed the Feds, Republican politicians dropped Bundy like a hot potato once the remarks surfaced.
But Krugman was disappointed that Bundys racist musings distracted from his larger anti-government message. I think the Cliven Bundy thing actually is awful, because we should be talking about the message, not the man, he explained. Which is really a terrible message, which is you have the right to use other peoples property namely, federal grazing land for free.
Freedom is the right to not pay for the damage you do, Krugman bemoaned. Its really a horrifying thing he was ever made a hero even before these comments came out.
I am horrified to agree with Paul Krugman, Kristol joked....

And the two idiots are both wrong. Those two are the real jerks.
Kristol has always been a totalitarian jerkoff. No suprise here.
Cliven Bundy bump.
:D
Kristol also thought Obama would be a great president, big surprise. It would be surprising if he stood up for Bundy.
Pray America wakes up
Poor old Bundy. Oh, Al.
They know what he meant but are to afraid to agree with him on the meaning of what he said.
Law breaking jerks, hmmm. Bill Clinton, Timothy Geithner, Al Sharpton, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Charlie Rangel, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, Rod Blagojevich, Robert Torricelli, Jesse Jackson Jr., Lois Lerner... that description gives a long list.
This should teach all of us that there is no political solution to our problem.
Neither Kristol or Klugman have touched the base issue.
Does The Sovereign State of Nevada has all that land, which it claimed when Nevada sought statehood, or has the federal government gone beyond the 10th Amendment, and arbitrarily SEIZED all that land, without recompense, to The State of Nevada.
What's the surprise? They're both globalists, with Kristol speaking about the parts of our lives and the economy that are and should be in the control of corporations and global entities and Krugman speaking for the parts of our lives and the economy that are and should be controlled by government.
99% of the population should be disgusted by now.
Despite their pretensions of intellectualism, both are cultural inbreds with no expertise or understanding in this matter whatsoever.
They are east coast city boy dip$hits opining on the west’s free range cattle culture tradition and current issues. In other words....ignorant and ignorant of their ignorance. As hopeless as they are useless.
Bundy replaces Zimmerman as current target.
Kristol and Krugman. To quote the old “Frasier” TV show, “Does it matter? You get the one, you get that other one. Personally I think the whole arrangement is a little—”.
Two statists prefer tyranny to freedom. Why is that supposed to be surprising?
Oh yeah, because the Republicans and Democrats want us to think they are different.
Behind on your federal taxes? Expecting to use your usual route home? Think again.
I agree, just shame shame shame on Hannity, Kristol and others .they’ve stepped in deep do do whatever the deal is with Bundy, this is not about Bundy. It’s about an out of control government and the absurdly big and powerful BLM.
DC is usually solid. Surprised to see them label Kristol as conservative. Neocons are the greatest state worshippers of all.
Naturally, they abhor any rebellion against our “national greatness”.
The whole thing is not about Mr. Bundy. It’s about the BLM’s SWAT tactics and attack dogs. Randy Weaver was a total dirtball. Ruby Ridge was not about him. It was about the Gestapo murdering Americans.
