Over the last 44 years Earth Day has often been hijacked by political opportunists and faux scientists, but it is great fun to look back and see just how wrong the original Earth Day environmental experts were about the science and the future:

Most people at work didn’t even remember it was Earth Day - which was encouraging.
I told a co-worker it was also Lenin’s birthday, allegedly just a coincidence. His response: Who is Lenin?

Unfortunately, it seems ALL schools are pushing this Earth Day fascist pagan garbage. Including Catholic schools. I’m stewing over it now.
My mother was a teacher who ended up in a Catholic Charities special-ed school, and she was forced to perform some Earth Day nonsense even though none of her many subjects dealt with biology.
Now, my K son is in an independent Catholic school which seems to be pretty big on enviro-Mentalism. (It’s political for us - my mother graduated from that school decades ago when it was a convent school, and loved it so much she is still heavily donating and visiting.)
At first, leftists opposed Earth Day as a distraction from the “real” issues. Later they realized that it was an opportunity to trash capitalism, and to undermine the prevailing order.
On Earth Day 1992, in a Bookstore in Oxford, England, I heard two Marxists discuss how they would kill all environmentalists after the revolution. I threw some gasoline on the fire by pointing out that Hitler was an environmentalist, to which they agreed.
The other young co-worker says, "you know...the singer with the round glasses, married to Yoko Somethingorother."

And after almost 50 years of “expert scientific analysis”, the latest IPCC Report mentions Sun/Solar ONE time in the report.
Take Paul Ehrlich. The man has never been right about any of his predictions, ever. Yet, he is highly respected in the climate eco-freak wackjob community.
