A California couple spotted the edge of an old can on a path they had hiked many times before. Poking at the can was the first step in uncovering a buried treasure of rare coins estimated to be worth $10 million. "It was like finding a hot potato," the couple told coin expert Dr. Don Kagan from Kagin's, Inc. The couple hired the president of Kagin's, Inc. and Holabird-Kagin Americana, a western Americana dealer and auctioneer, to represent them.
"Since 1981, people have been coming to us with one or two coins they find worth a few thousand dollars, but this is the first time we get someone with a whole cache of buried coins

California Couple Finds $10M Buried Treasure in Back Yard
The Marxists running California find another $10M to bribe voters with.
Fixed.
They're going to donate most of the proceeds to charity.
Hogwash. They have a time machine and went back in time and hid them there.
>> They’re going to donate most of the proceeds to charity. <<
Both from a philanthropic viewpoint and from a tax viewpoint, they’d do better to donate the coins directly to various tax-exempt charities, rather than sell the coins and then donate the proceeds.

THAT move saves $1 Million in Cali taxes.

I guess I was not very good at it. I found a few coins, mostly recent ones and a pocket knife. That pocket knife was probably the best thing I ever found with it.
It was probably most useful for finding things I had lost in the grass. For instance I once lost the key to the wheel of my lawn tractor.
It was under a big W.
Another liberal couple who say they want to ‘give back’ to the community and to ‘overlooked causes’ like the arts.
I would have first established residence ouside California and then quietly started to sell the coins.
