The title needs to be amended:

California Couple Finds $10M Buried Treasure in Back Yard

The Marxists running California find another $10M to bribe voters with.

Fixed.

Why do people put themselves at risk by going public with new found wealth.

Shut up, move to Wyoming and sell from there, once you’ve establish residence.

THAT move saves $1 Million in Cali taxes.

Is there a law that says you have to declare which dirt you found it in?

Their identity will be found out in less than a month, and anyone whose related to anyone who’s owned that land since the Civil War, will be laying claim to it.

Back in the 80s I bought a $400 White’s metal detector thinking I would find a lot of treasure.

I guess I was not very good at it. I found a few coins, mostly recent ones and a pocket knife. That pocket knife was probably the best thing I ever found with it.

It was probably most useful for finding things I had lost in the grass. For instance I once lost the key to the wheel of my lawn tractor.

I would have first established residence ouside California and then quietly started to sell the coins.

If they found the stash in Tiburon they’re already rich. I’d love to know the history of those coins though.
