The wide variety of potential candidates for the Republican presidential nomination boils down to one question in many quarters — which one can beat Hillary Clinton?
But to at least one powerful Republican consultant, Mary Matalin, the "Hillary" question is pointless.
"Hillary Clinton’s lead is ephemeral," Matalin told Politico Magazine. "As soon as she gets in, if she gets in, she will be challenged and it will evaporate. Just the nature of the beast. I predict she doesn’t run."

Political consultant and media strategist Mark McKinnon predicts a "Clash of the Titans" battle between Clinton and Bush for the White House in 2016.
"Jeb Bush is the sort of pragmatic, common-sense and compassionate conservative Republicans need to win back the White House," said McKinnon. "He’d attract Hispanics and likely win the key electoral prize of his home state, Florida. And he has a great record to run on, including some innovative, forward-thinking strategies like early childhood investment. Florida leads the country in the number of four-year olds in literacy programs—over 70 percent, and Jeb did it without increasing taxes."
McKinnon said he is not worried about either Bush or Clinton being too familiar for voters to choose....

What taxes? In Florida, there is no income tax, so this money either was sitting somewhere doing nothing or they raised some sort of tax somewhere or-—the worst of all-—they tok Fed money & now have to kow-tow to every whim of the Obama administration.
I didn’t think for a minute you would believe Mary M. I am looking at this as a tactic. What is she is trying to do? Is her marriage to the snake head causing Mary M to work as a mole for the DemonRATs? I think so. I see it working against the Republicans and playing in the hands of the Beast.
The Left cannot wait for the Beast to announce her candidacy. They are frothing at the mouth and the Beast knows how to play it to the max. Mary M is on board with the Beast facilitating the tease. And, at the same time, she is causing the lame Republican base (not my FRiends) to think they do not have the battle of the Beast to worry about. When the Beast does play her hand, we will see the DemonRATs in Beast Mode. It will come like the 2nd coming of Christ and the Apocalypse for the Republican Party. I hope we are ready. I hope it does not catch dupes of Mary M’s BS like deer in the headlights.
I hope we will emerge victorious over the DemonRAT’s efforts to play the feminism card with the Beast’s presidential run. We cannot take anything for granted because the DemonRATs will be in Beast Mode when she does announce. Her base is frothing at the mouth to work for her win. I hope we will be prepared and not be the deer-in-the-headlights.

As for Granny Warren, although she's only a couple of years younger than Clinton, she appears to have many fewer miles on her odometer. I would not underestimate her moonbat appeal. Here she is doing the populist thing at her first Senate hearing:
