Thanks Luv. Have a Happy New Year too. I’m off to the bed in a few minutes. My chest congestion still has me a bit low on energy.

I learned how to be a good straight man from the legendary Andy Barber in my radio days 40 yeas ago. He was a stern taskmaster when the microphone wasn't on.

Roger on the rinsing. Honest, this isn't intentionally funny but aspen needles look just like rosemary when they're stuck to the side of the (now gone) steak. That was seriously good.
Now I'm opening a "winter warmer" by Oakshire Brewing of Oregon. Settling in for a wonderful New Year's Eve thread. It's better than a party - no, it IS a party!

The Moody Blues: "Words You Say"This is one of Ms. B's favorites. John Lodge shows he can use the basic building blocks of opera, as in recitative and arioso, When he switches to arioso at, "I don't want to wake up now," he's in a beautiful and perfect C Major, one of his favorite keys. My screen tends to go blurry at that point.

I did college radio, and when I was finishing with the Army in the Seattle area, I managed to infiltrate a 50 kilowatt radio giant, KING, the Big 11. One Sunday night I saved the production director's tail when I knew how to set up for the evening talk show and he didn't. At that point that either had to hire me or throw me out. They hired me.
I engineered the talk show, ran religious tapes on Sunday mornings, drove the KING money van handing out money to people with KING winner stickers, and I did some weekend and utility DJ work. During a six month period of personnel turbulence in 1974, I did the 2 AM to 6 AM shift while the normal all night guy, a veteran of the trade, did all the shifts where people had either gotten sick or quit.
My meteoric rise was followed by an equally meteoric fall, and I ended up spending 31 years in computers before retiring.
